Is there any "rule of thumb" when it comes to what blinds of NL you should be playing according to your bankroll.

For example, the BB should be 1% of your bankroll or something like that?

Maximum buy-in at the table ~5% of your bankroll, is what I use.

Just trying to figure if I'm good enough to go up limits yet, and if I can survive if I'm not up to the level yet.

A suggestion I recently heard on poker night live, was for cash games is 30x maximum buyin at the table, as for single table tournaments one pro said that 20 buyins should be enough, but also one of the tighter pros went as far as saying 100x is needed, multi table tournaments seems a grey area so any suggestions would be great.

I wouldn't want to have 5% of my stack tied-up in the blinds. That's about how much I want to call with on a small hand (like a small pocket pair). I'd much prefer to just have 2% in the blinds.

I'm not sure if you're responding to me, but since no one else mentioned the figure "5%" I figure you must be. I'm saying that the maximum buy-in at the table should be no more than 5% of your bankroll.
