| Foreign Poker Rooms On the way home today I was listening to the news on the radio and they mentioned the current exchange rate which is R10.16 = $1 and R14.82= 1 pound. This led me to compare our local South African site to a couple of "overseas" sites to compare the stakes in SnG tournaments Lowest limit @ piggs peak is R5 + .5 = $.5 + $0.5 (10:1 for ease of conversion) Lowest Limit @ Full Tilt is $1 + $0.25 = R10 + R2.50 Lowest Limit @ Stars is $.25 + 0 = R2.50 + R0 I have played in a couple of the $1 Tournaments at FT aswell as the equivalent level up at piggs peak (R10 + R1...cheaper rake ) and found that there is a lot less "donkishness" at the local site. I havent played at starts yet but was wondering if anyone else noticed a difference in the game styles / play at different sites for the same (or equivalent) stakes? Also may it not benefit a "foreign" player to play at our local site as thier bankroll is inflated? My thoughts RAT |

| Perhaps, ok I am, I'm retarded. you are not compairing apples to apples. What are you asking about the rake, the exchange rate, or the experience level of players? The exchange rate is always going to fluctuate, You can build your bankroll and then wait until the rate is "good" to cash out. The rake is the rake and it is not going to fluctuate. The better deal on the rake the more profitable the game. The less experienced the player the better IMO. I hear all the time people complaining "I am so tired of playing against donks," ect. If you play solid poker and don't make fancy plays you are going to beat them in the long run. This is the game I am looking for. I'm assuming you want us to compare all three to find the best "deal" I think that the game you are likely to beat is more important to the rake. That is not to say the rake is unimportant. Exchange rate is managable if you don't have pressure to cash out quickly. ease of game +5 rake +2 exchange rate +1 |
