Hi,,,daft question,,,does any1 know which was the first online poker room ??

I listen that 1st online playing was on IRC network. Some today's pro's played in chat
No rake were paid though

yeah it was all text-based.

the first proper poker room I think was paradise, sure I read that in a poker mag somewhere.

lol torunaments often started with 23 players at on table, what fun would that be, so cool!

23 players in the hand
1 card left in the deck after the river,
they should have them as sng's online
they sound like fun.
i know you count unseen cards
when calculating your outs,
but with only 3 cards left in the deck
after the flop, you're drawing pretty 'thin'.
does the number of players being dealt a hand
affect how you count your outs ?
for instance
if there are 10 players, that's 20 cards from the deck
if there are 2 players that's only 4 cards from the deck,
does this affect your outs ?

i understand it would be impractical 'live'
but online you could easily have from 11 to 23
players on one table.
is there a reason why they don't ?

....I hear if you played as the decent competition today, you would be a millionare if you played the same in the 'golden age of poker' ....I'm kicking myself I never found poker for so long lol - time machine? do I want to see the pyramaids built? nope I wanna stack all the fish instead. take me back to 1999

nah, ud still count the outs the same as now.

God I miss Paradise Poker......Won 3 MTT's in 3 consecutive days (500-1000 players per MTT) and havent even come close to duplicating that in over 7 years. And I was shitfaced for 2 out of 3 of those.

I have also read that, KD. I think Paradise is the oldest internet poker room still operating. Planet may have started earlier, but is no longer in orbit.

Yeah unfortuntately playing poker shitfaced doesnt work anymore....Poker has changed so much since 04-05.
