| First ever chat ban After three years of playing at PS I finalally got a chat ban. It will last for 24 hours. I got it for calling someone a dopey w hore LOL Someone once told me they were going to find my kids and rape them so I guess 24 hours for the word whore is fair. |

Verbal outbursts USUALLY receive one warning (if the PB is in a good mood) and a boot out the door if he's not. chat ban vs. play ban ..... HMmmmm... Maybe it's why I prefer live tables. 40+ years and never ejected. (no chat bans either ... ) |

I suspect you have a leak there, if you will pardon my saying so. Why would you wish to make any comment to a bad player at your table ? Let him continue to think he is great. Don`t tap on the tank. Personally, other than during CC games, I rarely make any remark of any kind in the chat box. I will reply briefly and politely to any direct question put to me, making sure I give away no information. Apart from that, I`m happy if the other players think I am half-asleep watching TV. I do, however, observe other players` remarks closely. It`s surprising how many are unwise enough to give away big fat clues to their state of mind and/or level of expertise. |

Roberts rules are the industry standard of poker and Roberts rules state that "Using profanity or obscene language" is not permitted. Therefore a poker player should not expect to hear foul language. So by using foul language in order to get under someone's skin, you are being a complete "dumbass" because they have a right to complain and if they do complain, management has to side with them. | I got removed from a PS tournament/table for 5minutes and got an email warning after someone said something similar about my wife and kids. I was so disgusted and angry at this person I fired so many insults and so angry, the mod didn't even look back at what this person said to me and I got a ban. So so frustrating, I try to ignore all chat now. |

| big fluffy bunny? Nice!!! I'm going to try that one out. I've had some days where I'd call them 'SKippy' quite a bit (got that one out of Bluff magazine). Purposefully playing some redonkulous hands on micro tables, hit some freak'n monsters (ie. the 3bet w 72s.. flop a boat kinda stuff).. take down a monster pot & say stuff like "Well played there Skippy!" "Nice one Skippy" Seems to work to get them to re-load a few times & get trapped by a monster, lol. Also just logged onto Fulltilt to try out 'dumbass'. Yup! It works! I'm going to go try out 'big fluffy bunny' right now on 888Poker (< that's the site I'll usually play on when I feel like havin' some fun.. too bad you US players can't play on there... TONS of big fluffy bunnies on there!) |

| About three years ago I got a permanent chat ban from Sky Poker. Its was when I was just starting to play poker and I used to spam the chat box everytime I was displeased with someone at the table. I fully deserved the ban I said some horrible things |

I wish I was strong enough to stay away from the chat box after beats. But sometimes I just can't. I'm weak. |

Do yourself a favor and disable chat for a while. Yeah you might miss out on some small piece of info every once in a while but you won't be making the much bigger mistake (imo) of giving away anything. You just might find you enjoy the peace. |

| Wow, I was in a tourney on PS (I think) where an individual was discussing how all the females at the table should be circumcised - in explicit detail - the word for the female anatomy is apparently not censored there ... I couldn't even find a place to report him! Last edited by Brave_n_Crazy : 3rd April 2011 at 3:35 AM. Reason: wrong word not censored |

| Lol, some of this stuff on here is funny. I used to take a bad beat and see how much stuff I could type in before I got banned on Full Tilt. Wouldn't really be directed at anybody I would just type in random curse words and see how long and how quickly I could get banned. The pointless ones are the ones that last about a minute. Kmixer if you've never heard a child use the word whore you must be pretty upscale. I hear kids use it at least twenty times at every family reunion. That and I've heard kids using it doing my student teaching though I don't think some of them even know what it means. |

| One particular poster I recognize in this thread have been pretty rude in CC games. So not hard to imagine juvenile chat tendencies in open games. And judging from the post here, he seems to think acting juvenile is fun... Go figure....... But being of age does not mean being adult. |
