| Endless Rakeback saga at FTP...and other sites'. Has anyone else tried to get rakeback applied to an unaffiliated account and seem to get some progress made, but never actually get it? My account at FTP was made years ago to play playmoney with a friend. I signed up AT FULL TILT so my account has no affiliate. Now that I play real money games, I have been trying to get rakeback for quite some time. It only seems fair that if many of the players at the table pay less in rake, that I should be able to too. Am i the only one? Seems like I hear stories of folks getting rakeback. Here is my correspondence since last year with Full Tilt Poker and Rakeback Pros. I am sparing you the entire ordeal. I started speking with Full Tilt about rakeback much earlier than these messages. Quote:

Maybe they just figured out I'd transfer my bankroll from Pokerstars, and blow it instantly playing Rush Poker for 42 hours straight, and that I was not worth the trouble? Seriously though. Is any one else getting these kind of mixed messages? |

RBP is a nice way for them to try to redirect the rage over getting rejected from Full Tilt to someone else. |

| Yeah I have sent them the same thing and have reasked them about three times and every time I contact either support they send me to the other one. I also definitely didn't sign up through an affilliate. I think they just don't like to offer it to players who don't generate that much rake, of course I am kind of speaking for myself, as I have never had a roll of more than 150 bucks on FTP. |

Also, I have done what CAMurray and pokerchild suggested.. in fact these emails were the correspondence on their part to my requests. I can play at Stars and it is fair. I will just keep doing that. I s'pose I am too little for Full Tilt to really want my business even though I play poker online just about every day. |

But do they really think the members ITT (some are a few of the best micro stackes players I know) will deriberately deposit a lot on FT w/o rakeback ?? I don't mind depositing elsewere - I've got enough spare money and a few sites with solid BRs to chose from .... Maybe they figure they'd be losing money (which they would) more than they would generate if we played more volume (which I doubt). All in all this whole issue sucks - and I'm not the impatient guy..... I 've waited almost a year now - lol - I guess about 2,5 million new users got rakeback in that time. |

So I just gave up. FT won't get my money now though. |

| Well the thing is all about RAKE. That's the crazy part. I have been playing poker online for a few years now, and I don't seem to be able to stop myself. I am a winner at best and breakeven at worst so I am a rake generating MACHINE. Now I am a little tiny rake generating machine... but I am not gonna go broke so I will keep playing indefinitely. Seems to me those are the folks poker sites would want to give rakeback to. |

| re: Endless Rakeback saga at FTP...and other sites'. poker I'm a month into this process and have received the same messages from Full tilt and Rakebackpros. I was hoping to get it set up before depositing and playing cash games...but it looks like i'd be as well doing so elsewhere. Does depositing improve your chances of getting the RB set up? |

| I got mine after 2 or 3 weeks i think. Just sign up at rakebackpros and it happens eventually, I didn't have to chase 'em up or anything. EDIT: Just so it doesn't sound like a complete brag, I was playing a fair amount at micros, but I hadnt deposited, did a player transfer. Maybe that bumped me, to get me to deposit or something. |

I find it amazing that so many really good players are experiencing this. Lol If we put the names together we'd get a strong team imo. |

| Aw gee, my adventures only started on 12.11.09; I just sent a follow-up stat request to RBP last night. I feel like we're LGM (from Toy Story) --> 'we are of one mind' (where's my darn rakeback?!) & RBP = The Claw (The Claw is our master; The Claw chooses who will go & who will stay) . |

| What we need to do is all get together here and on other sites and tell FT to give rake back to everyone or were all gone. Set a date and then do it. Stars does it better(yes it's not direct rackback) as everyone has a chance. Not going to happen but its the only why they will hear us as one person means little to them. |

| It took me quite a while before I was offered rakeback too. I signed up long ago on Full Tilt, so I lost out for a long time. Eventually, they finally granted it to me. Just keep on being persistent, and eventually (hopefully), you will get it. |

It took me about a month to get rakeback from rakebackpros. Just keep sending emails to both sites. |

Possibly, but you never know. That's how I finally got RB at PlayersOnly. I told them I would take my money to another skin on the Cake Network. I'd say these guys probably play alot more than me. I don't play alot of hands per week and I play micro stakes. |

Ive been thru the same crap with emails etc from FT, and nothing from rbp, Ive even set up an account at rbp and still nothing, ffs. I too started at ft with a player transfer, so there's no affiliate code on my account. I love FT for the gameplay, tables etc, but their support couldn't give a sh*t about the micro stakes players, they're too busy sucking up to the big boys, have you seen the rake they pay? a few $ on a million dolar pot, what a f*cking joke. after 8 months of trying to get rb from ft, I give up, just clearing a bonus there and then Im off to Pokerstars, who actually act like they give a sh*t about the small-time players. I even told ft in email that Im off, they couldnt care less, great support there, so nice to show they care* *rant over, and breathe................ |

| Seems to me they would be most interested in low to mid stakes volume players. I have also wondered about how poker sites evaluate their user base... I am a micro stakes winner. Though it's getting harder and harder to say that under my current sideways trend, lol, but I have have actively played from a single bankroll at Stars for a few years now. So I am a rake machine. I play some poker almost every day. So I pay rake every day too. For years now. Seems to me especially if I am breaking even I am an asset to the poker site I play on. Fishy enough to be good food for the hudbot regs who the sites must love, and sharky enough to never go broke. Seems to me I am a rake machine. A smallish one, but I keep on playing. Meh... Stars is good enough for me. I just like that I am on an even playing field with all my competition at least as far as the rules/winnings go. I might break down and go play a few hundred hands of Rush on FTP now and then, since I find it fun... but other than that they can simply kiss my ass. Pokerstars gets my rake money. |

| just got another email from FT, after I told them to 'look after the big boys, and dont give a shit about us micro-stake players' they were very apologetic, and blamed it all on rbp. So ive emailed rbp, and told them I am about to jump up to 50NL, (which I can, in theory, with proper BRM), if they cant be bothered to sort it out, then Im moving to PS. That's my 6th, and last email to rakebackpros, they can go jump if I get no reply this time(as has happened the last 5 emails!) Will keep you updated, and cAPSLOCK, my sentiments exactly mate, lucky thing for me is that I dont have to go to PS(its ok, but not my fav), but I can go to some juicy european sites(more fish, less players) and get decent rakeback. |

| Rakeback is so important to building and sustaining a bankroll, yet the saga that you have to go through to get rakeback is insane. I created a multiple account with rakeback, then realised I couldn't have another account even though I now live at university and so e-mailed full tilt, who have now closed the rakeback account and are now taking over 3 days to transfer the money from that account to my original account. Whilst all this is happening, i'm trying to get my original account to get rakeback, which as of yet I've still heard nothing from. Absolute nightmare. |

| re: Endless Rakeback saga at FTP...and other sites'. poker So in becoming an affiliate I believe RBP (or any rake back affiliate) goes off their % of rake from FT from referrals. I'm assuming FT takes 50% of rake and possibly the other 50% goes to the affiliate the affiliate then divides that 50% (in RBP's case for FT) They offer you 27% which means of their 50% cut you get 54% of what they get from FT. I think this is how it works. But, I still don't understand the process of getting existing members on Rakeback. If I could set it up I'd give all CCers 100% of whatever I get from rake from each CCer. But, still trying to figure this shizzo out! |
