First, you shouldn`t post links like that. Didn`t you read the "Rules & FAQ" ? It`s the very first rule.
But, to answer the question, I haven`t played it, but I certainly know of it. I don`t see it being a very effective proposition. In a field of reasonably sound players, the idiot who makes a dumb move and hits a lucky card gains a large unfair advantage. The principle is well known in (for example) Bridge, where virtually all tournaments are played as Duplicate games. However, Bridge is a different game where the luck element is smaller and poor play is rarely rewarded. I am not sure that the method transfers well to Poker. |

Yes, I know the place.
. I am still trying to figure out a simple way to tell how it works, and lord know the existing site is no help, but the concept is sane. They gave me 10 or 15 promo bucks, and my br there now is about 50. I won a big tourney, 66 bucks or so by folding every hand!! EVERY HAND!! The way it works is that you are not playing against the table you are sitting at, you are playing against unseen players playing at other tables where the exact same cards are dealt. You are playing against the players getting the exact same cards as you get. In the case where I won a bunch, I lost at the table, but I lost less than the other players playing the same cards as I did. |
