Double or Nothing Sng's Poker Stars PokerStars is offering a new Sng... I believe Cake has had them out for a while, but PokerStars just introduced them into their own line up. Basically 10 man Sng, 5 win nothing the other 5 double their buy-in (minus the rake). I have played in two of them cashed in one...my god the nittest low limit Sng I have ever played. Don't think I will be playing in many more. Last edited by Boomswitch : 2nd October 2008 at 9:33 PM. Reason: To fix a few spelling mistakes.

I am pretty sure the max bonus at Pokerstars is like 50$. There bonus program kinda sucks but I really don't mind as they may more than make up for it in the level of traffic they receive, and of course in their Fpp reward system.

i was not impressed with them either...everyone was playing tight...so if i have to invest over an hour in something...id rather play a regular sng for the greater payout potential...however, for some players that may have a low bankroll, it may be a good safe bankroll builder thanks to the 10 percent rake and the fact that 50 percent of the field gets paid. cheers and gl

These games are deadly dull - after 3 players are out, it is basically a 45 minute bubble waiting for 2 more to go. I played one yesterday and cashed (got up to 5,200 chips, went back down to 1,900 at one stage - I should have just sat out!). They have a place as a bankroll builder, but they are zero fun.

If your goal is to have fun and need action, do not play these. If your goal is to make money then every decent player at cardschat with a low / mid bankroll should be playing these. They are a license to print money for good players. They are extremely easy to multi-table, as you are only waiting for premium hands and stealing spots. I have not played the higher limit ones, as my BRM won't allow it, so I cannot comment on the play in those. But just from playing the $5 ones, I am already up $40 after playing 11 so far (10-1). And it has only taken me 1 hour and 15 minutes this morning.

re: Double or Nothing Sng's Poker Stars standard turbo donkngos are (a) just as easy if not easier to multitable because after 20 mins or so you're basically either shoving or folding everything and (b) take less time. the only reason to play these is if you hate variance, as normal donkngos are obviously going to be more swingy. these might be worth a look-in if they were turbos, but with 10min levels it's basically going to be a case of "watch the idiots stack off in the first level then take a one-way ticket to nitsville for an hour", and that's about as much fun as laying in a pool of your own vomit.

so let me guess you've played like 6 sng's ever? seeing as 80% itm is impossible over any sort of reasonable sample size. umm and yes finishing 3rd wouldn't win you (quite) as much as double, but when we get itm in a regular sitngo we don't always finish third.

they made them turbos now (5 min blinds instead of 10)! thank god, they were painfully slow. i e-mailed PokerStars yesterday and said they should... reply: Hello Tristian, Thank you for your feedback – As a result of many players sharing this same concern, you will see the turbo double or nothing tournaments in the lobby now! Good luck at the tables! Best Regards, Jeanne D. Responsible Gaming Manager PokerStars Poker Room Management Team

re: Double or Nothing Sng's Poker Stars Kadafi is saying that he cashes in 80% of his SNGs - that is an impressive record to say the least and was met with some skepticism. He was asked to provide his screen name so we could verify this record on sharkscope, that records SNG performance. Kadafi006 is not listed on sharkscope.

the problem is that all players instantly becomes many degrees more patient when playing these. at reasonable stakes it's not quite as easy as you might think, because everyone know to play much closer to "correct" strategy in these than in normal SnGs. but players still make tons of dumb mistakes, from what i've seen i tried one $109 double up and cashed it, ship it i guess

I have been playing these on Pokerroom for a few months now and they are very, very profitable. They run turbo ones with 3 minute blinds so all you need to do is win one hand, double up once and thn sit out, from there you will cash upto 90% of the time. So yeah I double up once close the table and start another one.
