| I have found them to be almost a complete and utter waste of time. You always have someone who doubles up early and sits. The rest of the table is content to try and fold their way into the money, until the blinds become so high and you are in shove/fold mode with 7 remaining just to prevent yourself from being blinded out. I'll take my chances with games where skill prevails and leave the luck to the gamblers. |

| i believe this are for beginners anyway These type of tourneys of course will have luck but i believe all the low stakes have a lot of luck even with a good strategy. The reason i believe this is even if you play tight and stick to good hands a lot of worse hands will consistantly call you and are bound to get unlucky sometimes. You just have to keep trying stay confident and know in the long run your good play will probably pay off. |

| I actually liked the Players Only $5 DoNs made a few hundred bucks working my way up from the $2s. Not as tight as the Pokerstars ones which always seem to come down to push fold unless you get lucky and get a triple stack early, a double stack means nothing. Seen so many people double up early then sit out, only to come back and be short stacked. |

| i quite enjoy them too, in my mind i think i win alot. i think the math is gotta win 7 of 10 to really make a buck i usually lose to bad beats over bad plays, but think that where i do best what AceZWylD said is true (at a site or two at least) lotta waiting to get money, but thats probally cuz people realize you can cash without playing- it happens- but dont count on it. i find it easy to get a double up in the first 30-45 min and thats usually all you need- unless everyone is folding AK i like the fact they are on many sites too, wish FTP had them, tho with the quality of play and bad beats i seem to find there, i wouldnt win anyways |

If nothing, it probably reduces the variance somewhat. Then again, I know there are many out there that swear by them. It really comes down to individual preference. |

| Never played a matrix. If you have the ability to play four sngs simultatneously why not buy-in to four at once. Better hourly rate. I think the double ups were much more profitable when they were first introduced. Now the strategy of extreme patience is pretty much universally practiced and much harder to cash. What is a good ROI for double ups? |

leon's right, if you're focusing on the table and are making good decisions, then you're chances of success are pretty good. The 10 player ones on Stars are interesting. It all depends on your table. I've been in ones where they take a long time to play because everybody is so tight and the first shove usually results in everybody folding until you get a couple of big hands dealt. I've also been in others where the action is extremely fast. You just have to play your game based on the table dynamic. There's a lot less poker being played for sure though. I'm going to give the Mansion ones a try and see how they work out. |
