Done with poker

Ok im sure there are a lot of these posts all the time but i am giving up poker for a bit.
My game has gone to hell and at the moment i cannot be bothered to work out where i am going wrong so no big loss to the forum but i wont be playing cc events or poker for a while

What they said; you're a great player and should try to make a comeback when you feel the time is right.

I'm reading Zen and the Art of Poker, and it's really helped me out with seeing the big picture with regards to swings and poker in general. Maybe take a peek, see if it helps.

Sometimes people just need to take time away from the same thing over and over again. I know that when I take a break for a week or so and come back to the tables, I feel more refreshed and ready to go. You are a good player Steve and i hope to see you back in your game very shortly.

I got two more missing sisters, since your going to have some free time on your hands

Winning poker is based on the ability to make correct decisions, and it sounds as though a break is a good decision on your part right now. Take the time you need; come back when you're ready. Poker will still be there.

lmao im back baby on pokerstars got my bollox back and stop being a passive idiot donk now i am overly agressive donk again just the way i like it

i spoent a few days just watching pple playing poker and i realised tht i know most of the basics and they pretty ebgedded in my game i just need to listen to the sensible little tenbob in my head telling me to calm down and play properly

omfg i got tenbob in my head i need professional help

I have taken breaks twice since I have been part of this site. I took two weeks off once and last fall took a whole month off. I think both times I came back a stronger player because the sting was gone and I could not wait to get back in the action when I finally did come back.

Glad the mojo is working again.

Yeah, I guess your addiction is too strong, not a bad thing though if you're good at it. Everyone gets losing streaks and bad sessions so I don't see why it should be any different for you. They sure don't make you a poor player, if anything they'll make you stronger later.
