Done with Full Tilt

I'm saying good bye to FT because i'm tired of getting disconnected.

It's the third time i lost a sitngo because the program crashes and i'm not able to reconnect.

Now I'm switching to pokerstars because seams to have a more reliable program.

It's only me?

I constantly disconnect on my laptop when using Full Tilt, and it seems to occur more on FT than other sites for some reason (maybe it's my imagination). However, I don't have any connection problems on my desktop.

This happens to me.
Make sure its the client's fault and not your own connection vefore making the switch.

I suspect wireless networks are partly at guilt for this but i experience lesser troubles with my wired network as well.
It doesn't cause me too much grief though as it happens infequent enough for my disconnect timebank to be able to handle my hands whilst I franticly close FTP and turn it back on again.

Trick is when it says its not responding close it asap, don;t send an error report just completly close it then open it again and ur tables should be in tact.

re: Done with Full Tilt poker

The odd time I get the whole Full Tilt Poker is not responding and it will just shut down, frustrating, but normally i can just open it straight back up again. I wouldn't go crazy stake wise on pokerstars until you know you have a solid connection I guess.

When I'm at my mum's its frustrating often late night Tiscali just goes down, so I can be playing a tournament or something, and my internet is just killed! Virgin at my place is much better thankfully!

Isn't that nerve wracking then that happens? I've had it happen to me but only a few times. Not sure it was Full Tilts problem or one of my own but I can go forever without it happening again. Overall, I'm real happy with Full Tilt.

I've lost connection a few times, but it has been mostly due to problems on my end with my internet provider. I really like the way FT is setup. Just can't seem to get into other sites. It's also nice often when I play I can usually find a pro to rail too.

That happened to me to.

I don't think it has anything to do with my connection, because on pokerstars i never had any problems, neither on any other site.

You guys need better internet connections. I've never had a problem with any site. Except for when FTP crashed once and noone could get on and the same happened with Poker Stars once. So other than the entire site crashing, I've never had a problem. Sounds like I'm lucky!!!

Maybe i need a better connection, maybe not, but if the same problem happened to other people who had better connections than me (that's obvious because i live in Uruguay) i'm not sure that the problem is only my speed.

It could be due to a number of reasons and to blame FTP is wide of the mark in my opnion. As mentioned above it could be your internet connection and if your running other appplications it could be your RAM as FTP uses a huge portion of RAM

The only time that it has happened to me that it was FT was not that long ago, and the whole world was shut down. Every other time, it was either my internet provider or my computer with Vista on it. The Vista program has caused me more problems than anything.

Wow, this is very surprising to me. I feel like full tilt has the best reconnect functionality, because when i get a shotty connection, it gets disconnected the least, but on cake, it's horrible.

FTP I find my connection gives out.
On most other sites my RAM can't take it. Especially ongame with all their fancy animations.
The latter problem is by far the worse of the two.

Remember one thing...It could also be the data lines coming in to your computer...I know for example that if it is raining and thundering my data line will sometimes go down and I am disconnected from poker sites....It may not just be FT.

fulltilt goes out on me all the time. it just happened today as a mattr of fact. when i did get back on i noticed a few other players sitting out. i did happen to check my internet as i often do and low and behold it worked fine. it was just fulltilt not connecting. i dont play pokerstars anymore so i got no other poker site to compare to. but tilt seems to go out alot for me.

I don't think it's the ram, maybe it's a particular problem of my country connection that does not happen everywhere

Full Tilt seems to work fine for me... but i am also thinking about changing to pokerstars because i feel like FT makes the user feel they can make stupid calls because of the avatars... i know this is a very strange rason but i honestly think that pokerstars gives a more professional look to the poker site and will be better for me than Full tilt!!! However, full tilt has given me great support in my poker losing as of late lol! Does anyone else feel this way?

I was experiencing some brief disconnects myself recently on Fulltilt, after the last software update. It always reconnects again if you just sit & wait. Sure it can be frustrating when you're in a pot and on a monster hand (when this was happening the other day, I'll try to just get all the money into the pot so I don't lose it once I disconnect, lol).

It's not happening for me now anymore.... was just for a short while there recently.

I don't think 'wireless connection' has anything to do with poker site disconnects (not if you're connection is strong)... BUT.. I do know that some will run into difficulties with Pokerstars depending upon what type of wireless router you are using.

I like Full Tilt. Good technical support, a lot of people playing, there are almost no empty tables. My choice of FT

re: Done with Full Tilt poker

I had a that problem with Full Tilt a while back when I used to play there. The software would just freeze so I started playing at Titan which seemed fine. When I got my new PC I tried Full Tilt again and had no problems. Not sure if they had updated a glitch in the year inbetween or whether it was just my PC
