Do you have a hand that seems to be your "hex hand?"

Do you have a hand that you always seem to lose with and/or get beaten with? Mine is A9. I try not to play it at all, but in those late position, desperately short stacked situations it's certainly worth shoving in with.

I almost always lose with this hand... or in an all-in situation against someone else holding A9, I get beat by it. It doesn't seem to matter whether it starts out as a favorite or not.

I was all in tonight with A9 twice. I was *SHOCKED* the first time to end up making quad aces... plus a 9 on the river, as if I needed it. I'm sure that sucked up all my A9 luck for the rest of my life, though, and I was later knocked out of the tournament with another blasted A9. It was ahead before the flop but, alas, not after.

Mine is A 10, no doubt. It's too good not to play, but not good enough to be very proud of. And I'm sure it's just because of my negative feelings for the hand, but it seems like A 10 beats me way more than probabilities and statistics allow against AJ, AQ, AK, JJ, QQ, KK...

J, 10. I never win with it and everyone falls in love with it. Theycall, raise and go all in with it. It's the most overrated hand in Hold em.

I don't know why everyone is so afraid of JJ. If your look at true stats i think you will find it wins more than loses.

Anyway going back to the original question. No wait, one more thing A-9 A-10, of course they are hands you hate that's why you shouldn't be playing them. They are trap hands just like K-j or Q-10. Fold, I just don't play them except when on a steal or resteal and then the cards aren't important.

JJ is a horrible hand, anyone who calls will have AK AQ and always hit something and you lose At least that's what happens for me....

I love A 10, and it loves me

for some reason a-j just never wins for me, i have better luck with a-9 and a-10 lol. I also hate Jacks, im never happy to see them because Ill raise, and an overcard hits the flop, or the site messes with me and gives me a set witha suited flop lol.

Mine is JTs, which I can't seem to fold EVER before the flop. In some situations its a very playable hand but I abuse it.

Funny, according to my PT stats after AA - AJ is my winningest hand(!?). Honestly it seems I get my behind kicked with AQ. I either get my raise re-raised preflop, or completely miss on the flop and have my CB raised. Either way, I rarely hit and seem to always be in a awkward position with that hand.

And Snake never answered the question in his post.

That is true but we all have them. Mine is A-Q suited or not. Even when I nail the flop, something bad usually happens...

I think that went over everybody's head, but it's a corollary of my own favorite motto: "I'm not superstitious, it's unlucky."

Okay, got you all beat

KK. I've only had 4 real down session in ring games the last two weeks. Each time it was KK, running into AA. Each time I got all in preflop or on the low flop and got stacked or nearly so.

Why does no one ever get KK when I have AA? The last time I remember it happening, a K came on the flop and I was dead.

Hey, this thread is good luck! As I finished typing, my AA just got called by KK, and I hit an A on the flop to boot! Only a VIP freeroll this time, but maybe things are looking up.

AA
Nothing worse then having to go all-in pre-flop with AA and getting busted by small trips.

I always seem to get A8s in the big blind and go decent with it i have also seen it many times when stumbling out of a tourney, it's a love/hate relationship.

Give me AA every time, I dont mind.
As for a hex hand, i hate AT or AJ, they always seem to miss, the times they do hit the Ace, someone normally has AK, AQ.

JJ kills me both ways. No matter how I play it, I really can't remember the last time I won with it at the river nor the last time I won against it.

treat JJ as a pair of eights, if it hits' then it's all good, if it misses and there's overcards then prepare to fold................
