Don't you hate it when this happens? I'm in a tournament and I'm doing good. Top 20 get paid. There's about 38 people left and by chip amount I'm ranked 17th. I got A, Q and was up against one other player. The board read:
K, 10, 9, 2, J. "Great, I got my straight" I say to myself. I make a big bet and the othe rplayer called me. Then, I expect to collect the pot, the other player did with two pair! I got disconnected and therefore lost the pot even though it was mine. I would have almost doubled my chip amount. I ended up placing 24th. four away from the money. If I didn't disconnect, I could have easily placed in the top ten. |

Lightning is correct. If the hands were shown, or the guy called your bet, then the highest hand would collect the pot, regardless of whether you got disconnected or not.
If he had raised and you had to make a decision, then your hand would be mucked if you didnt respond due to a disconnection If hands were shown and then you got DC and lost the pot, I would seriously consider finding somewhere else to invest your money |
