Decided on Full Tilt Points; now what?

For a while I have been wondering what to do with the meager few Full Tilt Points I have been getting. Tonight I decided the 600 point STT with a 26$ token as the only prize for first was my best bet. Now that I have a $26 token, what is the best tournament to spend it on? Most $24+$2 tournaments are guaranteed freezeout, but does anybody have a feeling for which one has the best payout structure?

Can't you apply it to cheaper tourneys as well? that's what I'd do.

I didn't get tournament dollars, I got a token. I don't think you can split the token up. When I look at $24 tournaments it gives me the option to use my token or cash. When I look at lesser entry tournaments it only gives me the option to use cash.

It looks like the guarantees all fill to just enough people so there is no overlay. The $17,000 that just started has ~five more players than needed so the prize pool is $17,136. There are several SnGs, too. It won't be tonight, anyway. Any suggestions will be slowly mulled.

Looks like you don't have an option then: you have to play a $22+2 game. I doubt you will be able to find an overlay in any of the tournaments, and the payout structure will be consistent too.

There are NLHE events during prime eastern US time which pay the best guarantees.

Also means that there will be that many more donks.

The $24+$2 tourneys are usually donk fests until the first break as 99% of the people in the tournies won a token. They have a quite a few grtd $$$ (from $2k to $24k) MTTs but rarely is there an overlay as they usually end up with a decent turnout. If you are looking to get into a bigger game, there are a ton of $26 satellites into much bigger tourneys.

You are correct though, there is no other option but to play a $24+$2 as it is a token and can not be split.

GL with what ever you decide to do.

If anyone is looking for the easiest way to win a $26 token, I suggest the "token frenzy' tourney which runs at least daily, if not more often, OR they have $6 6ppl SNGs which are full of donkeys (on most occasions) with 1st place being a token and 2nd place pays $10. I have had decent success winning tokens both ways.

How about the knockout tournaments. What level of foolishness does this add to the tournament?

$28,000 Guarantee at Full Tilt Poker at 22:00 EST, or 10PM EST, or 7PM PST

If I could win a goddamn token, this is the one I would do.

There is also a $17,500 Guarantee I believe to be at 23:00 EST

I have won a few $26 tokens playing the $4+.40 sng's - they pay $10 for 2nd too. There are usually several people out within a few minutes. I get 1st or 2nd most of the games I play in. I haven't won anything yet with my tokens but I am determined to. They have some decent tournies during the day with great payouts.

Same here, I've played 4 times SnG for tokens and in 3 of them i was the bubble boy. That hurt.

I think i would try the knockout one at 3:00 pm everyday.

I hate having to win or lose with the full tilt points. I would love it if they had something where the first loser (2nd) would get something.

I agree. I looked all over for something that had any better payout than one win in a table.

the whole point

I don't mean to sound difficult but the prize structure bore out that this is what you win a 26.00 token for the prize in the event you played in. It was always intended you spend it on the prize they desginate. That is why it is the weird amount of 24.00 & 2.00. Sorry dude this is the only place to spend the specialized currency produced by full tilt!

It's the same foolishness as the newer school policies that require ALL students to be winners at a carnival or event, no matter how poorly they do. In essence, an attempt by the sites not to lose cash players who can never get ITM, but see some meager return now by a KO or two.

Actually, quite a blow to serious poker, as the new KO formula enables even the 'every hand all-in' players a chance to win some cash in the lotto before going out themselves.

yea but you rarely see those types of players in regular buy in tournies that are not rebuys or freerolls
