Couple of Q's about Pokerstars points... Hi guys, not been on for a week or so, all work and no play etc! Anyway, I have been playing poker exclusively on Pokerstars for a week or so now, (WAAAAY too many bad beats on Full Tilt, gonna leave it alone this month - despite rakeback!). After playing this week I have accumulated quite a few points...almost 400 so far. Having never hit higher than bronze star as far as the points system goes i'm just wondering if (hopefully when!) I hit the silver or gold star, when does the 1.5 VPP multiplyer kick in? Does it count for the whole of the following month, or does it begin as soon as you have earned the 1200 required for Silver in THIS playing month? I cant see any info on this on the FPP/VPP page so any feedback is appreciated. Secondly, if I enter a FPP satellite (eg a 1000pt qualifier to the 3000pt 'Turbo Takedown') and win, can I unregister and take the larger tournaments buy in? I know a few say that if you qualify you are committed to playing the big tourney, but if they dont can I un-reg? And is it paid in points or cold hard cash? The few on Full Tilt i've done that on have been credited as points. Thanks folks. Kev.

I am pretty sure that if the next buy in to that tourney is bought in with more points then what you will redeem by unregistering will be points as well...If it is a money buy in that you won your way into then it'll be more then likely tourney dollars. I like the fact that PokerStars does have a better reward system for points then full tilt...it gives you a better chance of coming back alive when you BR is empty

I would def say that if you want to unregister go right ahead. You just get the same credit back as what you won. Congrats on accumulating so many points in so little time. I myself find it hard to get those FPP points, but I mostly play on FTP. =) Good luck on the felts and hope you keep up the points!

re: Couple of Q's about Pokerstars points... If I remember correctly, it starts as soon as you get to 1200 points in a month, and continues throughout the next month. As for unregistering from the tourney, it is tournament specific. But it usually states in the tourny info if you must play in the sattelite.
