To close account in the PokerStars

Somebody knows if it is allowed to close an account in the Stars and later opening a new account for the same person who not yet deposited?

Just email their support and ask, I'm pretty sure they don't close accounts for any reason though.

I think I get what you're saying,.. you want to close your Stars account and then re-open a new one while making a cash deposit to it? Am I correct?
I've wanted to do this on some sites in the past myself, due to discovering some way better depositing options (getting rake back for one, or getting to play in special freerolls like the $1,000 monthly freeroll on Titan offered by Cardschat).
I don't know how to go about it exactly although I do come across alot of players on the tables who claim to be playing under a new name and that they had closed their prior account.
I don't know the answer to your question though,... but I think I do understand what your question is,... probably no help huh?

i would say you probably have to give them some reason for it, and even then im not positive that they would let you do this. its always possible though, and couldnt hurt to email support and see what they say.

I was allowed to close my Bodog account and open a new one after a security breach. My password was hacked by a keylogger and my BR was wiped out. My security breach was genuine. While I would not encourage you to lie, I would think that concerns about a security breach or your computer being hacked would be a valid and compelling reason to shut down your account.

I am pretty sure it is *not* allowed. One account per person, regardless of if you deposited or not.

I have seen rakeback sites mention that you can do this. I think it's breakin the site rules, but I think it's a largely unenforced rule. That is, the poker sites don't keep records of free games, and if you never made a deposit they might not have your information on file.

I don't remember what info I gave on PokerStars when I signed up for my original account, but I know on FT if I look my info up, it's blank. No address, etc. I've never made a deposit on FT.

I asked FT the same question as I wanted to deposit there and take advantage of a rakeback program. But they said that once I had an account, even a non-deposit account, I wasn't allowed to create another. I told them that if I couldn't get rakeback it was a deal breaker and I wouldn't deposit, as I couldn't live with knowing that I could have had 27% of the rake back.
They ended up putting my name on a list. They're experimenting with a rakeback program for current members, and if it gets green lighted I'll be added to it.

They will close your account but they will not delete the info they have on you, and they will tell you that when you want to reopen your account, to contact them.
To completely open a new account you will have to delete all reference of Poker Stars from you computers registry and then use a different e-mail address to sign up again, I know this works as I have done it on another site. The problem with doing that though is when you try to withdraw you might have problems as they probably will notice that you had another account and possibly freeze your money for breach of rules.
The suggestion about the security breach might work, but more than likely they will just change your log in details and password.
Good luck with whatever you do but dont be surprised if you dont get what you are looking for.

P-Stars Accounts

Yup! You definetly CAN close one account on P-Stars and open another! BUT, you CAN'T have 2 seperate accounts! You can only have ONE! UNLESS you're "resorceful" ( Good at lieing and manipulating! ) I did it a couple of weeks ago---just changed my P-Stars name, Same address and everything else. But I also opened another Bank account too. However, to keep things legit, P-Stars uses your phone number to track you. I suppose you can get around that, too, by using a different cell number. Your phone number on your account must be tha exact same number that the bank has.

Ok, thank you already, is because I would go to receive a bond if he opened an account through a site, then would have that to close my account therefore it could not have two, then wanted to know if this would be allowed

Yo savagepengiun if anything comes of that fulltilt deal would you mind letting me know? I tried doing exactly the same thing (signed up for full tilt to play freerolls when i was learning) and told them there is no way i'm switching sites and actually playing for real money @ FT unless i get rakeback and they said to add name etc, but because it was literally taking me 3 days to get a single email added i didn't bother.

FT is absolutely messed up when it comes to that...they even introduced a new policy whereby if one does not deposit within 60 days or so they are no longer tracked to the affiliate through which they joined. So um let somebody be retracked if they refuse to deposit without rakeback :S

@OP

Email Stars support and explain the situation. Stars is far more reasonable from my experience than sites like FT, because Stars doesn't exactly have an affiliate program. But let them know what you are doing, because you don't want to do something against the rules and have your BR in potential trouble.
