| choosing a table online what do you look at when choosing a table? I have been playing for almost a year, so I am still very much a beginner, but this is what I look for (my own personal rules again): **Look for tables where the players/flop is high **then look at the average pot size..if the pot size is low but the players per flop is high... Bingo!!!...you got a table with a bunch of callers..a little aggression will go far at a table like that. **If after going thru the blinds twice you have not caught a hand change tables. **Look for paying seats. ** when you first sit at a table Always wait til the big blind comes to you before you play, this gives you an opportunity to observe the other players. |

| Personally in blind games I will wait for the blinds, ante games I just start playing when I feel like it. If you play a fair bit at one place for games like stud with an ante, its often the same players there a lot of the time as well. I have some notes on which players I need to be careful against and which not too. Also if your playing holdem get poker tracker and you can use that to make a table selection. Though a lot of the time you may find there isn't a great deal of choice, certainly on the smaller sites for games that aren't holdem. If you are looking for a wider choice of table selection the more users on the site the better. Purely because there are more tables to choose from. ;] |
