Changing computers halfway through tourney? Well I'm doing pretty well in a tourney right now but the computer I'm on has a knack of overheating and cutting out. If this happens I plan on going to my aunties house (lives on same street) , downloading ps and resuming play. I know you can't change person playing unless something out of control happens but this will be out of my control, however because it's a computer error and not a power cut out or anything I won't be able to prove it actually happened. If it does shut down by itself what would be the best way to cover myself from possible reperussions of changing IP midway through tourney? I don't think anyone at my Aunties house has a ps account and if they do they 100% haven't played in this tourney.

I don't think it should be a problem. I have done this a few times, either going over to my parents place or down the street to my mother in law's. I have never had a problem doing it and haven't been contacted by PS about. But I certainly wouldn't take that as a guarantee. Maybe ship Support an email about it before you switch and explain your intentions. Might help, or at least give you a better answer to your question.

Desktop, it's an old computer so it just does it when it's been on and running for a while. I am getting a laptop instead but I need to sort out what Uni I'm going to so I know whether tyo get a broadband package with it as well or just a laptop by itself.

re: Changing computers halfway through tourney? poker You could probably solve the overheating issue by taking the destop outside, removing the cover, and blowing it out with a leaf blower. Better would be a compressor, but more people have leaf blowers. Be careful of the connections, and blow lots of air through the power supply. It will amaze you if you have never done this before.

Well I vacuumed the inside of it last night and the amount of dust was ridiculous, it was literally full of it and In removed the fan and it was so clogged with dust it was ridic, I don't think it has gone off since them but I'm still cautious in deep tourneys.
