I've seen Bravo's celebrity poker occasionally. It gets silly at times. The announcer is very annoying. One time I saw the one with Fred Savage where he went all in and ran over to his "cheering section" in the audience during the showdown (which he won). Phil Hellmuth's comments are the only thing that makes this worth watching.

I tried to play "celebrity poker showdown" the online qualifier on Bravo. It works thru a pop-up and is very slow. I had a hard time getting into any of the qualifier games at all. Eventually I lost interest because of the problems I had. It would be great fun to play in one though.

re: Celebrity Poker In my experience watching Celebrity Poker the only thing great about it is the laughable poker being played.. Most of these players have no clue what so ever what they are doing.. Remember a few years back when Paul Rudd flopped a set, went all in, and the girl from King of Queens (the dog walker) calls him with junk because she "thinks he bluffing!"..Then she hits runner runner to make a straight.. It's cool to watch if nothing else is on but if you want to learn about the game this is not the show to watch..

Ditto what Freak said... I played some of Bravo's qualifiers but the software is horrendous, so I decided it wasn't worth it. I actually learned how to play hold 'em by watching Celebrity Poker Showdown, but now I can't bear to watch it -- unless Dave Navarro is on, for the pure "rock 'n' roll eye candy" angle. I'd much rather tune in to any other poker show where the play doesn't (necessarily) suck and I stand to learn something from it.

I liked Phil Gordon a lot more than Hellmuth. I watched it all the time last season. I found it very entertaining, but this year the constant blabbering of Hellmuth really turned me off of the show. The actual poker I found fun to watch too, lots of horrid poker to make fun at.

re: Celebrity Poker Kids in the Hall Rules!!! One of my favorites is just when Bruce is just walking thru town singing about all the Dave's he knows. "These are the Dave's I know I know.....these are the Dave's I know...... Dave McKenzie boy can that cat swing....."(as he passes a kid on a swing set) LMAO everytime, I guess I just like the song...
