CASHOUT Surprise!
It’s Monday late morning and I’m in one of the new cash out MTTs on Full Tilt. We’re not even close to the bubble yet and I notice on a curser fly over of the CASHOUT button, that I already have a value listed. I guess I just didn’t read up on these games enough but I had assumed that there would be cashouts available only to those who have made the money. I’m liking these so much more now because I am constantly having to end games prematurely.

I'm well awhere of the new "DEAL" button...I've used it once already but...this cashout button is new to me! Is this for real-money tounaments only ..and what do they base it on...chip-count...leader-board ? Where can I read about this new option?

re: CASHOUT Surprise! poker
I can't see any great thing with the 'cashout' feature... unless you were really tired and wanted to stop playing or something??
Why would anyone want to give up a portion of their stack when it's a very important tool to use while playing a tournament? I don't get it?? (ie. put yourself at a disadvantage by cashing out some of your stack??). If anyone can come up with a decent strategy for these.... I'd be interested in hearing the 'why' behind it. |

I cashed out yesterday because I received a call from our pediatrician that I could bring the twins in for their well visit 3 hours earlier if I would like. This would allow for a much less congested dinner hour so I jumped at the chance.
These type of interruptions occur way too often in this house, as I'm sure it does in most. One of the main reasons I love the CC freerolls is because I know I wont be there for the first 30 minutes or so, but I can enjoy a friendly game with good people without the buy in, knowing I cant dedicate the attention to the game necessary for a serious run. ![]() |

Some of us experimented with a Cashout game last week (http://www.cardschat.com/f42/5-50-ft-cashout-oct-17-a-163033/). It was interesting.
DJ and I made $.07 profit when we bailed before the blinds knocked us down to less than 2x out original buy-in amount. It was fun. I'd do it again. |

I have yet to play in one but it sounds like you could double and triple up and then take the original buy-in back out at which point your only playing for profit. Excuse my ignorance if that seems incorrect to anyone but that appears to be the purpose because really who wants to play for half a prize pool? |

depends on what strategy you approach,
you go for the top places where you have 20x-30x your buyin or maybe more, or you go for 2x-3x your buyin ? or maybe you think that if you have enough chips you can afford in the middle of the game to cashout some just to recover the buyin and things like that... anyway nice option from FTP |

The best feature of the cashout tourney in my opinion is that when you reach the final table the entire final table splits the money that's left in the cashout pool. And there will be money left in it cause most players won't cash out a dime. So you not only cash you get this added cash as well. I can't remember how it's split but I think it's by chip stack size. You may want to check the rules on this. The real strategy is you have to weigh whether you cash out some of your winnings or not. If you get a huge stack maybe you could but don't see the advantage of doing so early or even late with a big stack. Most important to actually have a big cash if you could and cashing out would hurt this.

Here is what I found at the Full Tilt web site.
http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/cashout-tournaments Part of the above page talks about this.... Players will be able to cash out until the tournament reaches the final table, at which time the Cashout period will end. When the period ends, all money left in the Cashout pool is divided between the remaining players based on the current Cashout value of their chip stacks. Pretty cool eh. Reaching the final table in one of these bad boys would be great. ![]() |

Thats too funny. It definitely gives a "regular guy" spin on our new President, for me at least, to think of him eating at a burger joint. |

Just played my first Cashout Game
Hey All,
I finally tried the Cashout game. It was a $2.25 buy-in game at 13:40 EST. To say the least I am impressed and love these games... as soon as I hit 6k in chips I cashed out 3250 chips which got me $2.25 back... I proceeded in the tourney and kept on cashing out $2 at a time... I finally made it ITM and took a bad beat at 78th place... I was left with 450 chips and shoved all in as I wanted to focus more on the CardsChat Ultimate Bet Freeroll and finished up getting $1.75 for finishing ITM... So all in all I banked $12.50... a total gain of $10.25... All I have to say is I wanna see more of these games more frequently on Tilt with varying buy in amounts... Well I'm off to bed so I can get up to play the 09:00EST $2.25 Cashout game. Moe ![]() P.S. These Cashout games are VERY handy for bankroll management and IMHO the safest bet you can make out there! |

I thought it was great too...Untill I was playing one and managed to stay in the top ten the whole tournament, even winning for a large part of it, only to lose when my aces get cracked. Busted out in 41st or something for 7 dollars, the horrible part being that I had well over a hundred dollars in chips if i had of cashed out. |
