Cash Games- Do You Take Time Picking Your Table?

Right guys, I wanna try and establish some kind of reputation as being a good poster/ committed member who wants to learn and give away knowledge and do as much as I can for the site, while at the same time trying 2 get a BR from the freeroll's LOL. For those of you that didn't see my intro, Hey I'm Max from England a freeroll whore. Now quite often, I see a freeroll on Stars or Full Tilt Poker, go reg on the forum, and milk the password for as long as I can.

But this site is different. The people seem like a bunch of really nice guys and gals and I want to stay here and be as good a use as I can, whilst still being a freeroll whore .

Anyways, back to the point of the thread, I'm gonna try and do at least a few thought out Q's a week, and then hopefully we get as many replies as we can and we can all learn as much as possible

So My question is- for you cash game players:

Do you look around at the tables and watch them for a while, getting as much information as you can, getting notes down etc or do you just sit down. Either way, please say what you do and say why. I've never really personally waited a while I just sit down and get into the action, but I thought about it recently and I've realised that if you have some idea about waht type of table our going onto, surely you're more likely to make more money.

I usually watch a table for about 5-10 mins to see what the standard of play is then join if I am happy with it.
For example 2 days ago I was playing on Poker Stars .50/1.00 NL and I watched this guy donk off $200.00 by trying to bully ppl out of the hand with bets of $5.00 post flop $5.00 on the turn and $14.00-$20.00 on the river with absolutly nothing, after doing this a few times he won a couple by bullying ppl out of the hand, but eventually he got called and lost in showdown. He then changed tables and tried the same thing, I followed him to a third table where he tried the same thing so I sat down and got to clean him up to the tune of $68.00 in one handand $46.00 in another hand.
So IMO it does pay to watch before you sit down.
