| I have always thought "running the rabbit" is evidence of a terrible poker mindset. It is results oriented and of zero actual value. That said, I am glad when I see players who want to do it (in live games obviously) since it tells me a little about these players. MY rule is similar to carbon's. But everyone involved to the termination of the hand has to agree to see the cards. cAPS |

It usually is NOT allowed in public cardrooms. It needlessly slows down the game-- pretty soon you will be running every single hand to the river if you start letting people rabbit hunt. |

I can put up with a lot of stuff when I'm dealing, but being asked to rabbit hunt cards (especially by players who ought to know better) puts me on mega-tilt. It's usually some douchebag that's spent the past two minutes umming and aahing over whether they're going to call with what was obviously a flush draw getting the wrong odds too, so they've already held the game up for no good reason. Some of them even seem to think it's a good way to show they were serious about the hand For the love of gawd people, don't be that person. Just muck 'em and move on. |

| I'll use the rabbit option avail on Merge poker sites in a couple of instances. The first is when I am in the big blind and everyone folds to me. I like to rabbit for the entertainment factor. The second instance is when I want to show my cards for whatever reason I have. The random card generator presents a hand that may or may not have occurred had the play continued one card at a time. So I not only get to drive someone to tilt by occasionally showing a bluff with the rabbit option, but when they see a hand come up that would have helped them, it tends to push them even more on tilt. |

The only reason I don't like it in live games is that it slows the game up.Don't get enough hands but I don't know if it is a terrible poker mindset. I've seen some real good players ask for the rabbit hunt. I've seen some bad players ask to rabbit hunt. I don't know what it truly accomplishes when you think about it the hand is over and nothing changes. There is a new shuffle and that hand was in the past. |

| The fact that the winner has this option is totally irrelevant in making other players think "crap I would''a won". The "shuffle" on the merge network is constant, so the outcome of a "rabbit" changes depending on how long the winner takes to select it. The winner can show his cards if everyone folds anyway, de-select auto muck, you can show one or both hole cards. |
