Sit 'n go's - I have a horrible record at the $20.00 buyins. I usually bust out in 5th place in 9 and 18plr tables on Poker stars. I just can't break in to the money. Now I've played some $30 and $50 buyins same players and site and I am in the money 75% of the time while playing 19 games at these levels. I understand this is a very small sample and over time will adjust itself.
Common sense says to let the $20.00 buyins go and forget about it. But my mind keeps wanting to know why. It just doesn't make sense. It could be the competition is better and the play is more predictable at the higher stakes tables and thus people are easier to read. But I try to apply the same stategies at all the tables I play - tight/aggressive. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience. You win at tables you should struggle at and lost at tables you should dominate. Strange!! |

the higher the stakes the better the players...true. but, since you know the game, you should also know that it's harder to beat (short term) a bad player in a lower stakes game than it is to beat a good player in a higher stakes game
i don't think i'm trying to teach here...i'm simply reminding you of what you already know. Last edited by CAJUN43 : 18th May 2005 at 2:40 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |
