Can someone explain why this is??
Ok I just realised that on Pokerstars in the new $4.40 (1000 max) tournaments that the payouts are different depending on how many at a table. If playing at a 8 max table the final table is paid the following
1st 18.75% 2nd 13.5% 3rd 10% 4th 7.5% 5th 5% 6th 3.5% 7th 2.25% 8th 1.5% Now at a 4 max table the payouts are 1st 16% 2nd 10% 3rd 7% 4th 5% both tournaments were maxed out at 1000 players and both tournaments pay the top 104 and has the same prize pool of $4000 why is the payouts different? If anything I think the 4 max should pay more for a final table due to it being harder to get to final table. |

re: Can someone explain why this is?? poker
What you say about its easier to make the final table of an 4 person tourney im pretty sure is wrong. There are still, as you said, the same amount of people in the tournament so your chances of making the final table are the same.
About the question, im not too sure, i wouldve thoguht if anything the 4 man table tournament would have a higher pay, but i guess not. Interesting........ |
