Calling Stations

I dont think I truly realized what a calling station was until today. I usually play at pokerroom but I wanted to try the cardschat freeroll so I joined noble last night. (Through the cardschat affiliate link to support the site) Well at pokerroom I have seen guys that dont want to lay down their small hands, but I have NEVER seen anything like I have seen at noble today. These people are calling my bets with absolutely nothing over and over again. They even call on the river with J high. This is on the .25/.50 limit tables. I usually dont play limit, but Im not used to the software and actually picked a limit table by accident and noticed this phenomenon and stayed.


Well, I found a 6 player table with 4 of these guys on it. Every time I would flop top pair, (regardless of kicker) I would just bet every round because I KNEW they didnt have anything, lol. One time I had AA hole cards, so I bet and they start raising me until it gets capped every time. Flop came 336, turn was an A, and I dont even remember what the river card was because I was laughing so hard.


Anyways, I hope there is more of this to come at noble for me. If not, I enjoyed it while it lasted, lol.

i'd expect to hear "aww WTF this guy called me to the river and caught his X card and etc. etc."

wtg man... i've encountered people who call stupid bets, but as of yet no real calling stations (freerollers excepted)
