Cake Poker - YUK!

I've been a regular on Stars, FT and Party for about 5 years now, but every now and then, after I've made a sizable withdrawal, I like to look around for new poker rooms—ones that offer a decent first time depositor bonus—when my regulars aren't offering any reload incentives.

Anyway, this time that new poker site happened to be Cake Poker.

Here's what I hate about it the most:

1. It spends more time down that it does up. It crashes every 5 minutes it seems.

2. The software is like something from the 1970's. Just slow and annoying. So many times now I've taken numerous notes on players only to find that they weren't saved.

3. HUD. It's against Cake Poker's policy to run a HUD programme of any kind. Which makes multi-tabling very difficult. You can of course still use poker tracker to keep track of your play; which sounds reasonable until you realise that the hand history is encrypted in some very strange way which seems to mess with PT, rendering it effectively useless.

Oh and last but not least...

4. Withdrawal. I tried to make a Moneybookers withdrawal (the same method I had used to deposit) and expected a fairly speedy process, given that on Pokerstars and FullTilt it's nearly instant. But no, this is Cake Poker. I waited 3 days for that withdrawal.

So I guess the moral of the story is: Cake Poker sucks balls.

if u download cake 1.0 software it is much better than 2.0. I like cake, like having no HUDs available, small field tournies, and 33% rakeback

i like my cake
0 to 100$ now
good gaurenteed games (1000$ for 6-10$ buyin- never fills)
i have no crash problems
guess i should try a withdrawl (not that 3 days is bad)
i like version 1 better than 2 as well

I absolutely hate version 2.0 it always freezes up or crashes but 1.0 is the one i still use when ever i can and it is kinda sad on the graphics but it's poker not a video game so really to me not that important, the games are fairly small and they have easy deposit and withdraw options for me and as an American you can't always find that

Which GTD games so you play, havent played there for awhile but when I used to check them out out after all the late registrations they allow very rarely extra $$$

I agree the software is awful...traffic is very bad too. Not a very good site, the only good things I've noticed is the games seem much softer than anywhere else I've played.

def some softer games,
traffic is less than it used to be.
a good half dozen+ 1k gar. games a day
some 6$ some 10$ buyin
playin 6$ now-172 ppl-36pd
10$ game only 68ppl-10pd
i just seem to do alright there, so i dont mind it- still too many lucky donks tho

Try using the old Cake software,very few peeps like the new version.You might actually like it if it didnt crash.Plus,the more times you cashout,the faster they get.The first time or 2 seems to take longer.

Cakes good...for me !!!
But i prefer and play in old software...
