Building a roll on Stars...

Was wondering if any players knew some tips on how to build/nurse a small roll on Pokerstars. I have a grand total of $0.80 and was wanting to play there some more. Any tips are appreciated. Thanks guys!

They offer .02 cent hyper turbo and .10 cent turbo for SnG's. If it's not that, you got penny cash tables. Always freerolls there too. Good luck, keep us posted if can build that up.

Play simultaneously the rakefree 360mans with $0.10 buy in and freerolls. 80 cents is not very much, but you can do it :-)

the 25 cent 10 pm mtt is a great one...pays top 20% too

Yeah, I play this one every now and then. $100 added to prize pool by PS. Easy to cash and get your $.25 back, with a chance to make some dollars if you go far.

i did it with 10c 360 ppl sngs, play tight and get in the money first.

Try the 45 player SNG for a .25 cents. .01/.02 ring games have a min buy in of .80 cents.

I think your under rolled for the 2c tourney but it's your safest bet imo. 40 buyins might be plenty. I would move up to the 10c ourneys when i had over 50 buyins($1). Meaning $1.10 I could take just 1 shot at the 10c touney $1.57 5 shot etc. I'd stay there until I had 50buyins rinse and repeat. The imortant thing is to set the mark when to move back down as well as when to take shots.

---BTW I think suited connectors are best to jam preflop as in these your likely to see a 5 or 7 way pot and these fair better than PP's and High cards in multiway pots.

80 cent roll???!!!!!!!!!!! come off it you pay for the internet, im sure you can afford a bit more than 80 cent. I just dont see the point in playing so well and reading and studying poker just to win a few cent. All seems very pointless. just deposit a bit then play low limit cash games. 80 cent you cant do any br management etc. Just deposit once then play by bankroll management then should increase your roll to cash out the amount youve deposited then play with money youve made. That way its as if you never deposited

I started free rolling with little success. I deposited and lost and gained consistantly... but mainly lose. I have recently discovered the $1.10 turbo double or nothings... I like to play 2 at a time win one, lose one, even.. win both up. I have rarely lost any games and have a steadly bankroll climb. It's not too slow. If you were to do 4 at a time and win at least 3 of 4 every time you are profiting nicely.....

10 player double or nothing = 5 players double up. 1st place

the slight flaw in that is that if you win 1 and lose 1 then you are down the cost of 2 games fees. The problem with double ups is the fees. you can play 100 double up in 7 out of 10 so 70 out of 100 and still not make much cos the fees take a lot of profit especially turbos. and if not playing turbos and fess are 10% then very time consuming. lets give example. 1.20 turbo double or nothing

play 100 win 70% costs you 120 dollars. you win 140 . total profit a mere 20 dollars. 20 dolls!! for 100 games!!!!! AND THATS IF YOU MANAGE TO WIN 7 OUT OF 10 WHICH IS PRETTY DIFICULT. I personally dont recomend these games. they just take your profits away with the fees. Stick to cash games. if your good youl make money fi your bad youl lose simple. If your good enought o make a 20 doll profit playing 100 1.20 doubles ups then you should be good enough to make a lot more than 20 dolls at small tables within the same time range. I also recomend learning 8 game. Seriously they are soooooooo easy. I buy in 10 dollars and i get up to 25 or 30 and leave. some times i lose obviously but mostly will hit the 30 dolls mark. they are so soft. especially razz. Guys try bluff you like mad so funny when i flip over ace 2 3 5 7 and he flips over 10 10 ace 5 8 k q lol

Okay then... if you are not a consistant winner of this game type then you wont make much money.. agreed.

But... even if you do lose a couple games it's still profits.... especially when it's for enjoyment and practice without lossing larger amounts. Poker is just plain fun. (most of the time)

Good advise, but you've got the fees backward. Turbos are cheaper. On Stars, a regular double up is $1.15. Turbos are $1.10.
