| Depends on what your strengths are. I would hit the micros cause cash games are my strength and if you are patient you can build up the roll pretty quick playing ABC poker. Ask yourself WWJD? (jesus fergusson ) There is a thread somewhere on here about the BR management he used to turn a buck in to 10,000. Do a search for it and see what you think. (I would search for you but I am at work) |

| My personal preference is the SNGs, and I usually start with those when looking to build a BR at any site. At some sites, the SNGs are less friendly, either because the blinds rise too fast or because the standard of play is above average. In those cases, I will play a low stakes ring game (Pot Limit Holdem if available, since I find that a safer way to build from a low bankroll than No Limit - less variance) until I win the buyin for a tournament, then play the tourney. I find this is a very safe and secure way of building up. My usual habit is to deposit $50 and build up to $200 before making any withdrawal. After that, I will withdraw $100 out of every $200 I win. I never put more than 10 per cent of my BR into any one game (ie. $5 in the early stages). |

| re: building bankroll up on Pokerstars poker Thanks guys. I was doing well on rings 2 even though i havent played any b4. But its very tight and boring, and i end up winning 10 small pots and losing a big one. PLayed 3 sit n gos, finished 4th in one and 2nd in 2. I just cant seem 2 win heads up |

http://www.cardschat.com/heads-up-strategy.php and remember that SNG success is about changing gears. You have to be very loose and aggressive in Headsup, even though you may have played tight in the early levels. |

| Thx for link. I started pretty good heads up, i had half his stack and managed to regain lead. Then i ran into a problem. Got a run of really bad cards, and he became very aggressive, re-raising me everytime. And he was putting half his stack in there with that, so there was no me bluffing. Now i know he didnt have the strong hands like he was betting all the time, but with me getting hands like 8-2 and 7-3 all the time, couldnt find a hand to make a stand with. He regained chip lead like that, then we butted heads on a couple of good hands and i lost. But the middle part was the one that got me lost, when i wasnt getting even a decent hand to make a stand with. |

I got rags over and over again. Terrible run of cards, left me almost helpless. Frustrating. |
