BODOG open to Canadians, is it good?

Bodog now open to canadian players,
and %110 sign up bonus.

How are the $1 to $10 tournaments on Bodog?
I'm considering if I should move my Full Tilt roll there after I earn the $50 bonus this month.

Bodog has very few players compared to FT and PS. I can imagine there would be times you would have trouble getting the games you wanted.

The graphics and table options are horrible. I cant comment on the competition and game selection because I dont play there, not yet anyway.

You guys are right, I was looking at their games in the lobby and I think I'd enjoy keeping my money on Full Tilt.

I don't agree with this statement at all. I think that BoDog is one of my favorite room because the lobby and tables are sober with no horrible skin and avatars.
For other part, you should stay at FTP cause you won't find the same offer at Bodog.

Here is a link to the tournament schedule:

FT is way better. Stick to it. Play $3.30 superturbos. That builds your bankroll a lot.

I've only played once at Bodog...during the last CC game. I found the red tables glaring & distracting, but I can get used to that! I will play again next time. I do, however, prefer Fulltilt or Carbon for their graphics!

I personally cant agree with this advice about SuperTurbos. More of a crap shoot and not alot of poker being played. Choose the regular SnG's to build your bank roll.

Yes! Bodog Europe, one of the BodogBrand.com licensees, has just recently launched Bodog.ca. You can gamble on sports there for sure!

Good luck and enjoy,

Wouldn't transfer full tilt to bodog. These are the only two sites i have deposited. Slowly been making money on bodog not so much on full tilt. Full tilt is a far better site. However, the competion on bodog is very soft and much easier for a decent player to buil a bankroll.

You can change the felt color if you want.

As for Bodog, I like it. It's where I started and I think the competition there is fairly bad. Yes SnGs take longer to fill but when they do start they're full of fishes. There are always a handful of cash table going for the micro/low $$ NL tables. I also like and use the sportsbook. The sportsbook is the main reason I still play poker there (so I can win something to lose at the sportsbook ldo).

Recent cashouts have been super fast (4 days from request to check for my last one).

I liked Bodog when I used it. The sportsbook attracts a lot of people who don't normally play poker to the tables. So the competition is usually not that great. Not a bad idea if you are only playing micros for the time being.

Cash outs were never a problem, but I haven't played there for a while.

Test out the interface w/ the play money tables and see if you like it.

I decided to join Bodog when they began accepting Canadians, and I've been pleasantly surprised. I mainly joined because of the Sportsbook, but it's really nice to have Book/Poker/Casino on the same bankroll.

Their bonus system is very slick, and I especially like the fact that they grant Bodog Points for just sitting at tables. They even provide a detailed transaction record of every buy-in/cashout you've made.

For any Canadians having trouble with their CC company, I was able to deposit using an RB Visa Gift Card with no problems.

are those the stupid SnG's where u start off with 300 stack? With the blinds at something stupid at 3minutes aswell it's more bingo poker.
IMO i'd stick to normal turbos.

Thank you for sharing your good experiences with bodog.ca! I'm very happy to hear this and I will pass on your positive feedback to Bodog Europe (the Bodog licensee that runs Bodog.ca)

Bodog is a phenomenal site, and I don't agree one bit that the interface/software is bad. Aesthetically speaking I love the way the tables look, and the software has always been smooth for me. The first deposit bonus is instant, and the reload bonuses are sweet too. Just keep in mind the table selections are not very "small bankroll" friendly...best deposit around 100 or so minimum to get started, 10max is the lowest stakes they offer. All in all though, A+ room, great customer service, easy cashouts, good software. Recommended.

I like Bodog, I play there more than anywhere else. The software is smooth, payouts are fast and customer service is good. I don't have anything bad to say.

My Mastercard won't go through with them (although I know for sure I've used it in the past on a different site), their phone support told me that there is a dropdown for MC, but that they don't yet accept it.

Where can you get a RB Visa Gift Card from?

Royal Bank's website is fail, their link for info on purchasing cards online is broken.

I may try going through my bank (TD) to get a Visa gift card. They even say they charge no fees for it, but you need to be a TD bank customer to get one. Will post results if this is what I end up doing.

re: BODOG open to Canadians, is it good? poker

I just went to a Royal Bank branch. Make sure you ask for Visa Gift Card, otherwise they may not know what you're talking about. The teller said I'd have to register the card online to use it with online retailers, but it went through without having to do that. Although I don't think their site mentions it, I had to present 2 pieces of ID. That may just be because I don't have an RB account though.

Their is a set fee on the RB card ($3-4).
