Awesome! Another member had posted that it was available now, but the word I heard was Sept. 1. Good to know there's been a head start on things.

I'm really interested to hear the feedback as well. Canadian members, post here your experience please.

A Bit dissapointed actually, considering how long Bodog has been operating I find game choice very limited. No RAZZ or HORSE ring or tourney, although the Omaha H/L tables look very soft.

Too bad Bodog is probably the worst site of all the big ones out there. Cool for our canadian friends though.

Hey guys,
Another announcement: We have a new poker licensee as of Sept 1...two experienced people from the poker industry are running www.bodogpoker.com (an aggregate all the poker traffic of all the Bodog branded sites, bodogpoker.com is the direct entrance) and www.bodognetwork.com. They have a background from PokerRoom/Ongame Network and Gnuf, a Microgaming skin. Their first mission is to improve the Bodog poker client, with the first upgrade due in October. There will be a number of fixes, including proper late registration in tournaments, an improved betting slider, and so on. After that, the plan is to have monthly upgrades. We also have a plan of how to bring more players to Bodog, but we cannot give you any details on that yet.

Official PR and details to be released mid month, so stay tuned!

This is excellent news.

I just wanted to clarify, as I'm unfamiliar with Bodog. Can you use the same account (and bankroll) for Poker, Casino, and Sportsbook?

Yes Please.

I downloaded(Canadian) today Becky and was Disappointed with Clunky appearance. Took me forever to find Tourney stats. The beep that indicates it's your turn is Irritating.

I look forward to upgrades

Yes, that's one of the main advantages of Bodog. Their sportsbook is hugely popular and has a great reputation.

No "cluncky" appearance, just dissed at the deposit options. Don't like the sound? turn it off, I never play with sound on, on any site.

Glad to see Bodog now available for Canucks. However, a word of warning if you are the MAC computer. Unless you run under an emulator, and use the web based flash version, it is not available as yet. Also, if using the web version, you will only be able to play single table NLHE cash games - no tourneys or other type of games. However I do like Bodog because of their sportsbook.

Incorrect, I played the CC freeroll tournament the other day. Unless you mean the flash version?

Long-term, yes!

I spoke directly with the Bodog poker network licensee and he said Q2 2010 is a reasonable time frame to expect this function to be added.

Thanks guys,
Becky

Are they adding more tournaments? This was a big reason why I stopped playing there. Not enough decent tournaments through the day. IMO, there should be low buy ins all day long with the high buy ins once a day.

Software seems decent to me so far. But I am still unable to deposit, the only methods available are usemybank.com and Visa. My mastercard didn't work even though it is an option on the drop down menu

I can't wait for Moneybookers and/or Click2Pay to be available!

Do the GiftCards work Becky?

Thanks Makwa, you were 100% right on all accounts...I was in Europe for a series of conferences and now I'm back. Also, for payment method questions of this nature, each Bodog licensee's CS team really is fantastic and will be happy to help.

Thanks!

re: Bodog Open to Canadian Players Starting September 1!! poker

I'd also be interested in hearing about any successful Canadian deposit alternatives. My CC provider won't have anything to do with online gambling, and Bodog's alternative (UseMyBank) seems like a huge hassle.
