Bodog no good for small BR? I just recently downloaded and looked into bodog, upon actually checking out the the games available I notice a small BR isn't going to be enough. It seems actually one of the worse in terms of getting a micro game. The minimum cash game is 5nl and that's "ok" but I guess I'd need to have $100.00 to get started with that. As for the SnG's and MTT's...these seem quite a high buy-in to get a game. You're looking at around $7-$11 for a MTT, there are no $1 or $2 GTD tournaments etc..Well when I say there aren't, there are actually plenty of 1k or 2k gtd's tournaments but the tournament buy-in range from $10.00 - $30.00. Is this NORMAL? for a $30.00 I'd expect a 50k GTD lol or something.. So what sort of BR are we looking at for this site and anyone done anything with a small BR here?

It is a pretty hard site to have a small bankroll on if you're wanting to follow any type of BRM. I recently took just about all of my money off of there, and just left $50 in case there are ever any CC games I might want to play there. The games are very soft, both the SnG's/MTT's and the ring games. The biggest problem I had was the small amount of players there and the fact that you can ONLY play 4 tables max, which is just way too slow for me now. One good thing on top of it being really soft is that for people with a low bankroll, they do have the Beginner games, where they pay out like 25% of the field. I think they have $4.40's and $8.80's that are in that format. Combine the extra payout structure with the soft field and you'll be cashing a good amount.

re: Bodog no good for small BR? poker I don't know about everyone else on this Forum but I would suggest you play the Free Rolls there, $120 For 1st Top 60 get paid. Mind you the Field is about 3500 but I've made the FT's in those games A-Couple of times (Never Won), but It's bound to change.. Anyways gl with w/e you choose to do

On Titan (ipoker) there are many games where the buyins are $20-$30 and they'll have a guar. of $1,250 to $3,000. Pretty sure its because at that time of the day there's typically 60,100 or 200 players usually playing in them. On Bodog I've never played any of their MTT's. I have played around on their micro SNG's, after getting a freebie $10 on there & then binking a $100 priv. freeroll for a 1st for $30. I don't play much on there at all, sticking to only a handful of priv. tourneys (which are fairly juicy with really weak players... a couple of them are called 'Cardschat' < whatever that is? jk.. I've actually only played a small handful of the CC games on Bodog). As Poofy mentioned, the play in the SNG's is crazy weak (well maybe she used different terminology). Basically.. you should be 'winning' in them & am guessing you'll be SHOCKED when you see just how bad they play. |

What alot of these guys stated is true, not alot of players or small money mtt's, but their is money to be made on this site. Weak play is rampant as you get alot of people that rarely play poker coming over from their more popular sportsbook to play a game here and there. Bodog's also blocks datamining sites, so the computer geek sharks stay away aswell.
