As of the top of this hour, 8 am PST bodog was about 880,000 hands away from their 1 billionth hand.

There is a lot of action there today, as I'm sure even they would prefer it to happen today, amid the glare and lights of a weekend crowd.

Personally I'll be keeping an eye on this as it would be fun to be in that hand.

I can only imagine how many other folks will be doing the same and then immediately afterwards will logout. The whole internet may be affected!

OMG. Bodog is slow enough as it is... I can't imagine how bad it will be today.

I really wonder what would happen if the billionth hand was at a play money sit-n-go.

My calculations show that they should hit it in about 12 hours at the current run rate. (say 04:30-ish GMT?)

I would expect that run rate to greatly increase as all the other bodogers keep an eye on this today. Might want to check in 6 hours .

I'm playing in a tournament on Bodog right now, and my table has seen 11 or 12 pocket aces in less than 10 minutes. I have never seen anything like that in my life. There has probably been even more that was never called.

Bodog's software is going crazy tonight.

I understand it. I just haven't seen it personally on this scale until today, but I'm sure you see it at least every other day.

At one of my tables, 2 players decided to play right thru the 'moment'. They had been totally unaware of anything going on.

Those of us who did understand gave them more than their fair portion of shit.

It was fairly late for me, and real late for anyone east of me (most of the civilized world).

I had hoped bodog would stop all the action at all their tables for a moment to commemorate the moment. But nothing special happened. No instant post on the main page announcing there had been a winner, nothing. I haven't checked this morning.
