I have found bias in the tournament software of ALL online poker sites!!!

Higher chip-stacks get disproportionately more wins at showdown.

I know that some users poo-poo that idea as sour grapes, paranoia or whatnot, but it just happens too often to be untrue.

You've all seen it even if you haven't identified the predominant pattern. The high chip-stacks get better hole cards and/or get unrealistic suck-outs way too often.

Yes, I know that lucky flops and suckouts happen all the time in live, brick and mortar poker. I've played in local poker leagues and in casinos for years, and I've seen "hot players", "cold cards", and lots of luck. But it has never been as persistent as it is online.

Just today, I played at Poker Stars. Mr. Big Stack got AA, KK and AK within seven hands. Then when he put me all-in with his 5-5 (I had A-x), the flop came 5-7-7. What a joke!

I'd be interested to hear from other players about what sites they suspect have biases. I'll share more of my sites later.

LoL.
Sounds like you're upset because you lost a race situation to a player who happened to be running hot. You lost to a better hand. OH NO! GAME OVER. Its definately rigged in the bigger stacks favor, right?

Its also makes me wonder how often you've played online, because I notice the opposite. Its always so hard to get rid of the short stacks sometimes.

/sigh

Here we go again, more anecdotal evidence. Unless you have evidence numbering in the thousands of hands you don't have enough to draw any conclusions. don't even think about coming in here with one or two or ten tables worth of examples because they are statistically meaningless.

Besides...Big stacks can sit around and wait on the big hands, shorter stacks can't in a tourny.

Bring credible, adequate size evidence or don't bother saying anything please. If you have adequate data bring it, but a handful more examples like this one don't mean jack.

I'm not trying to jump down your throat or anything, but these sorts of posts are everywhere and they all say about the same thing.

Besides... I forget who it was who said this offhand but players remember bad beats amazingly well, but rarely remember their good wins as clearly. It's so true. Most people complaining about a big stack catching a run of cards all the time only remember it because the big stack was beating them. They don't remember all the times the big stack had cold cards.

Remember that in the short term, luck is predominate, in the long term skill utterly dominates luck.

DIE. DIE DIE DIE

lmao

Seriously. I'm willing to go get a degree in computer science so I can write an autoban script to just plain eliminate these goddamn threads the second they're created.

this is clearly going nowhere.

OP, feel free to make a new thread if/when you have actual evidence.
