Beware: Carbon Poker Previously I had heard of cash out difficulties where players could not get their money out and had their accounts frozen, but since I had no problems myself....I kept playing there....... Recently, Carbon poker froze my account. Figuring it to be a mistake, I contacted customer support. The wouldn't answer my questions for a full 24 hours. Then they said I owed X company money and were requesting a 'cash transfer' to Carbon. I said, no I don't owe them money, what are you talking about? Then they responded saying I owed Y company money with different details, still wanting a 'cash transfer'. Again I told them no, NOW they say I owe Y and Z company money (not X anymore). Obviously, this is not a mistake, they are screwing with me. I have no idea of anyone who would be stupid enough to make a cash transfer to carbon because they owed another company money. But just in cash Carbon asks for a cash transfer, don't take it seriously. Not only did carbon steal my deposit away, they stole my winnings. Which they will not give back to anyone who lost money to me.

Might it be the credit card you used to deposit, and it did not go through on their end? In which case if they credited you with the cash to play with, and they did not receive it, then you would owe them the money.... Also in an instance like this you should probably do the live chat rather than the emails, it is much faster. Good luck.

I have a credit card and a certain company claims I owe them money, however, they are neither company listed. I received my last email today. Basically said "We already told you to contact Y and Z company concerning money owed". They said "once I paid they would give me further details" Carbon is just going to take all the money in my account. Nothing I can do about it..........

Dear -------; Thank you for contacting us. We have already told you to get in touch with-------------- and --------- in order to clear this out. Once this is taken care of we will be able to discuss reopening your account. We are always here to help you. Please feel free to reply to this email if you have any additional questions in relation to this or any other matter. Your reference ID for this email is ------------------; please quote this number in any further communication on this subject. Like I'm going to post personal information. In the past I've had huge problems with withdrawals for months from Bodog and Doyles Room and only posted on 2+2. Eventually, like most others, I got my money, but not EVERYONE did. However, this is far more serious. I looked up the list of merge, I have never dealt with any of those companies. Nor do I owe money to anyone. If your website is paid by Carbon to advertise, I full well expect this to be deleted. If your not...then... I suppose everybody believes what they want to believe I guess. It's a small amount of money, don't really care that much about the money itself, it's the fact they are stealing it. None of your members can help me anyway, my only recourse is to warn others about shady Carbon tactics. BTW...Here is the original email: We have discovered an account under your name on ------------------ which you currently owe monies. We cannot proceed with any further transactions on your account has been paid via cash transfer. Therefore we urge you to repay these monies as soon as possible so you may continue to use your account at Carbon Poker. The 2nd email had entirely different information on who I owed money to, The 3rd, 4th, 5th (and the one I posted) now apparanetly has me owing money to 2 different companies which I have to pay with "cash transfers" Last edited by Cfreak999 : 14th October 2010 at 7:38 PM. |

Carbon Poker Stole my first deposit, I didn't even get to play one game. Short version: " Deposited $100 did not use any my deposit account was locked by security for no reason (said the support chat rep "I see the deposit but, I can not find any notes on your account as to why it is locked") , now it doesn't even exist anymore". Long version: Everything seemed fine at first played a few freeroll with no problems then a few day I decided to make a deposit I was on unable to use my credit card which I planned only to deposit $30 dollars, So I then used Western Union, the minimum was $100 dollars so I had no choice but to deposit that amount if I wanted to play on the cash tables. I deposited it everything went fine, until I got the e-mail saying $100 dollars was deposited in your account, I though great now I can see what I'm made of and play a few games I tried logging into my account I got the account has been locked for security reasons. So I went on the website I was able to log in and chat with a rep had no idea why my account was close " There are no notes on your account", so I'll send and e-mail to support, well I guess the support chat is not support anymore, send an e-mail we'' get back to you in 24-48 hours. HUH!!!! never actually used any of my deposit yet, after 48 hours sent another e-mail... We'll get back to you in 4 to 8 hours Huh!!! again.. 24 hours later . I tried logging into the website you account does not exist.. WTF!!! sent another e-mail no replay , sent three more e-mails, still no reply I think you really should not deposit with them if you want to keep your account. I'm guessign you might even run into problems if you win and try to withdraw.

When did this happen? Dates at least. Thinking back on the OP, who disappeared after these 3 posts, he could have been hacked, and some 3rd party poker was scamming him. Probably never know unless he comes back to tell us. The idea that credit collectors could take control of our PC's should scare all of us. It wouldn't be just Carbon, but all sites, along with PayPal, and your bank accounts.

The old OP conveniently left out what type of company he supposedly owed money and would not even give a hint as to what it was. He did not have to divulge personal details to say it was JC Penny or PokerStars etc who he was said to owe money. Seemed like he was hiding something, which I would guess means he got caught stealing from one gambling site and Carbon stopped him cold. If that was the case, good for them.

re: Poker & Beware: Carbon Poker Maybe its me and maybe I'm a little cynical, but I can't remember some one making an account for themselves here at CC and then telling us a poker site screwed them without the details. Especially their first posts....oh well
