Right away go to any poker room and look for or ask for the poker magazines they have there. There is one that show you every casino and what they have for daily tournaments. It will tell you time, type holdem/omaha, Limit/NL, rebuy/freezeout and buy-ins. This will reduce the frustration and you can find the right one

The 11pm daily tournament at Ceasars is around $100 and has great structure (40 min levels). If you want a cheaper re-buy tournament, off the strip at Tuscany they have daily (I think 10am) $22 buyin tournaments with rebuys and add-ons and all the money from RB and AO goes directly to prize pool. If you make some dough and want to try the higher priced buy-ins, Wynn and Bellagio are the best for structure.

Oh, and if you want Omaha games, Orleans (off the strip, get shuttle from Gold Coast on strip) is TOP NOTCH!

There are three sites you can research.
In order of useful information in my opinion:
arnold snyder's
allvegaspoker
and pokerreviewsvegas

(I think the last one may just be a copy of allvegas)

If you look at Snyder's excellent site you'll see your best bet is at the Orleans (for the cheaper buy in). Otherwise, Binion's $200 is great, or any of the $330+ buy ins at the major strip rooms (bellagio, venitian, etc)

Ask Freakakanus about deep stack tournaments...

Those are tourney in which you start with 2-4 times or more the typical number of chips and have longer levels (like 45+ minutes each). Those are the ones I was referring to at Wynn and Bellagio. They usually require a much heftier buy-in in the range of a few hundred to a 1K or more. Think of the WSOP as the most famous of the deep stack tournaments.

deep stack = larger amount of starting chips (relative to the blind structure of course)
