Ok, so I just got back from the game of my dreams. I recently relocated myself far from home in a medium size town with a little poker room that I neglected until tonight. I was driving an hour/ hour and 1/2 one way to get to the big casinos in my area thinking the games would be soft and full of all purpose gamblers spilling over from craps and things like that. But they werent. Sometimes I won and sometimes I lost, and it was hard to make money. Not at my new place. It is a freaking gold mine! So much I had to post about it. Just listen to some of the stuff that was going on. First of all it was a 1-3 NLH 1oo$ or 2oo$ buy in. A little weird but I gave her a shot. The standard PF raise was 35$ - 50$! That's almost 17 big blinds. Most hands also had 4 or more people seeing the flop. Just calling 45$ in middle position, and they just kept putting it in in increments of 50$ and 100$ and all in for more any time anybody made matchers. And they were stacking of light. Ex: on the last hand they guy opposite of me called off 180$ (his whole stack) over 3 streets with 4th pair Q kicker (Q6o). And he won the show down against my buddy man who was bluffing his KJo (2 overcards). The guy calling behind just sat down, had no reads on the dude, and actually thought his hand was good. Theres more. The guy 2 to my left opened for 45$ and 55$ type amounts from the blinds on about 8 different occasions. He then went on to CB flop with a pot sized lead (at least 100$) every single time. 3 times he got called and showed down AK, KQ, and KJ-2 overs-2 overs-2 overs. No pair, he was bluffing with his whole stack about once every 20 hands. Another dude, would bluff every time it was checked to him, and he would bluff big. 60$ into 16$, 40$ into 12$, always a gross over bet, always meant he was bluffing. If he had a hand, he bet smallish. 15$ into 25$, 20$ into 50$ on the turn. How much easier does it get. It was actually kind of sad. I'm almost certain 2 of the donks donks donkies were straight up gambling addicts. They would call their last 110$ with an inside straight draw on the turn. The lady sitting next to me was actually the one who did this. She kept running outside for smoke breaks and whatever other drug she was hitting breaks. Not watching the table between hands or anything to get reads on her opponents, just folding and running out and then completely dumping almost every time she got involved. On the hand Im talking about she called off 120$ to a 165$ re-raise on the turn when the 7s hits completing a straight and flush draw. She then looks over at me and shows me her high end str8 draw card (the 9). I thought about the action, looked at her back and said "Yeeeah, thats no good. Sorry." She goes "Oh I know, I'm just gambling." Matter of fact like that. And its the truth, that was the reason she was there. For that moment of intenseness where was against the
odds and all her money was in relieving her of all responsibility because she already did it. Then she would rebuy for another 200 bones and do it again. There was more but this is already too long. I just couldn't believe how bad these folks were. Im used to the nitty online rock gardens I was raised on. Maybe Im just getting crazy good after playing online for so long and I just see what is going on at the BnM, tables whereas I didn't before, but I dont know. I watched 3 people rebuy full 4 times each. They all left broke. But they all knew each other, and upon exiting said "I'll see you tommorrow for the big labor day weekend 120$ buy in starting at 9am." I think I might find my way back down there. Just thought I'd share.
