Believe in your game Last night I played at a short handed 1/2 ring game at Titan. There was a guy there that was playing horribly, but kept getting unbelievably lucky. Time after time I got rivered by him. The first $50 I sat down with went mostly to him in about an hour. After another hour I went down another $50, again mostly to him. At least 3 other players argued with him and called him names and got so frustrated they left the table. Everything from insults to claims about the site being rigged were flying. Now instead of getting mad and leaving all upset like those guys, I am actually happy to have this guy with me. It is his kind that makes it so every month I can take a little out of the bankroll and buy a part for my car. Without these guys I dont think Im good enough to consistently win like I have for many months. So instead of insulting him or threatening him (which may convince him to be a better player, not good for me), I just tell him nice hand on his bad plays. I know for a fact that if I can keep playing with this guy long enough, he will eventually lose every penny to me, proving I play better, and reinforcing my thought that online sites are not rigged.(Not titan anyways)So thats what I did. Over the next 3 hours I broke him. It wasnt quick, because he was still getting lucky, but not lucky enough. After he went broke he bought back in with $10 3 times to try and win his money back, but nope. I left the table with a profit of $78 instead of a $100 loss. Not much when you consider how much time I put into it, but the money wasnt the biggest reward in this case. It was the satisfaction of not losing my cool, not getting out of my game, and KNOWING my money would eventually come back to me. It ALWAYS does.

Great post 3-6s. The next time I come across a situation like this I will remember your words of wisdom and not become one of the ones who lose their cool and leave. Awesome that you got it all back and then some. But the classic part is how you told him "nh" after his suckouts! Just goes to show that the saying, "Patience is a virtue" never rings more true than when playing poker! Way to go.

Ah, to have your patience. I know everything you said is true and that we should treat these folks like the bank vault they are; however, I have a hard time waiting for their lucky streak to end. I'll generally go find another table - which I shouldn't do. I'm glad you specified the time you spent to accomplish this as it is not a quick or easy process by any means. Great post and timely for anyone that's run into this situation - and I'm sure we all have...
