Bankroll competition open for everyone This thread would be a kind of controll panel. I heard in an audiobook that if you write down what you want you gain power. Dreams have no power. You can say "I wanna be a professional poker player", but that doesn't make sense. What does it mean professional? Making 100.000$ a year, or just to be listed at the Hendon Mob? So we need clear specified goals to reach what we want. Here's the competition: If you want to enter, first you need to decide your goal. The competition is about your Bankroll, you should write down where you begin, and where you wanna end. For begginners it can be a goal to make from the 1$ freeroll winning 100$ in a month. But you must choose a goal which you are not sure you can do it. What will challange you. You also have to write down a deadline for the reaching. (think in months or weeks) As you write it down in this thread the others will be watching you, and you can't just loose your bankroll, coz that means a failure. You can write down if you achieved 1/4 or 1/3 of your goal, and your getting closer, or if you are busted. If you reach the deadline you have to write down where you at. If you can make it, you can be proud of yourself, and we'll be proud also. CC needs players who can achieve their goals. So this is gonna be fun, but you should take it seriosly. No re-deposits!

I like this post, and I hope it doesnt seem flippant when I say :- 'to win a wsop bracelet by 2020' it is wishful thinking of course!! The reason why I like it, is because it highlights something fundamentality important. When you keep accurate records it is amazing how determined it makes you to achieve good results.

I find that results based goals, as in "I want to make x dollars by x time" isn't a good way of achieving for me. I have some performance based goals (not in that way) that I'd like to work on. So my goal is to play within my bankroll, applying my planned risk management strategy in every session I play in until the end of the year. In achieving this goal I will reduce the damage of drawdowns and keep my equity swings manageable.

My goal is to make my $88.80 into $300 by Oct.11th I have actually just started keeping an accurate record of all the games I play so this should be fun for me. It's interesting that in 9 days and 27 tourneys that my starting BR of $97.70 has only dropped by $8.90 It was up as high as +$20.60 but I've run into a string of bubbles that I need to break through.

I'm new here but I'm up for this. My goal is to make my $20 deposit last year hold up until retirement. Actually my exact bankroll is $14.56. I want to turn it into $100 by...lets say...October 1st. My secondary goal is to be withdrawing $100 a month starting Christmas. The only thing that'll stand in my way is the "GOOD DEALS" satellites offer.

I'd like to make my $17.60 turn into $500 by Xmas 06.....nice little xmas present there. As long as I stay away from Royal Vegas, I think I'll be fine. PS: I played a Freeroll last night on Royal Vegas and ended up only playing 3 hands in an hour (and busted out on the 3rd one). I had 95 offsuit 6 times, 72 offsuit 5 times, 72 suited 3 times and lot of highcard-low card mixtures i.e Q3 K5 K2 J4 etc....had 2 pocket pairs 33 and 22 lol. What a sketchy tournament. Anyways be that as it may, $500 by xmas....if i succeed, a round of drinks for everyone!

Nice run Jimbo! Well, I know I started this thread and yeah we need clear goals, but did I say you can't change them? LOL That 1000$ for me is faar away, at the moment i'm around 80$, but I couldn't play much, and I am ill now (yes, I'm the looser who has a flu in the summer - just cycle home in rain at 4am and you can have it too...) So I'm still not playing that much. But I made it to an online 160$ final satellite for a live event,it'll be on 28th,where 1 from10 wins seat. So my new plan is 80$->300$ till 1th of September, because I need the money for a Spanish language course, and an exam after that (intermediate). How are you guys doing?

OK, I'll give this a shot. Have been thinking about goals recently anyway. I'd like to play at least two local tournaments per month, and more than that (obviously) when on vacation in Vegas, which I'm well on my way to making a regular habit. I'd also like to become more comfortable and more proficient (read: out of the red) in cash games. I'd like to play in at least one WSOP event next year, whether I get entry through a satellite or build up my bankroll enough to buy in directly. Oh yes, and I'd like to win a tournament, which is something I've yet to do in the B&M poker world.

re: Bankroll competition open for everyone poker I've already achieved my bankroll "goal" for this year - and I still have 3 months to go: Withdraw 5K in profits from bonus-whoring and/or poker playing to my bank account. This is only because the Mrs and I have this nice little deal where at the end of the month anything over $1000 in my bankroll is "swept" into my bank account - this does reduce the bankroll potential, since I can't rollover profits and move up to 2/4 games, but it does allow me to use my winnings before doing something stupid like losing it on a poker or bad sportsbook bender, as well.

This is GREAT! I have three goals. The first is to go to a casino and play holdem at a table and not shake like I'm having sex the first time by the end of 2006. Second goal is to grow the $7.50 I won yesterday finishing in second place at WPE $50 Free Roll tourney to a $100 by 11/01/2006. Third goal is to grow my $1.00 bankroll at Bodog to $200 by the end of this year.

I'm starting a new challenge for myself Primary Challenge Turning $300 in BR into $600 from $10+1 SNG's by November Follow up goal Turning $600 into $1200 in $20+2 SNG's by Jan 1st 2007 I plan on it taking 500-1000 SNG's to move up through each level unless I get on a really good run. Secondary challenge Playing a $11 and $22 2000+ person tourney nightly, and by EOY be at least even. This goal is mostly to get free experience, on a regular large game. Tertiary Challenge Winning an entry into the 2007 WSOP for less than $1000 invested in sattelite buy-ins
