Bankroll builder on PokerStars

I've seen some questions lately on how to build a bankroll. Well, PokerStars has new Double or Nothing sng's where the top 5 double their money. Buyins range from $1.10 to $109.And they're quick cause they're turbo! They stop after the first 5 get eliminated.

I know the return on the top 2 places on regular sng's is much better, but this is a no-brainer for really low bankrolls. If you can't find 5 fish in this barrel, you need new glasses!

The first one I played, lasted 32 minutes and a player sitting out cashed. Seems to me you could start at $1.10 and get to $218 in about 3 hours. Not a bad hourly wage. I'm up to the $11 myself, winning 2 at each stage (guess I'm a wimp).

i played one just to see what it was all about...now i agree its a good BR builder when someone just cashed a few buck in a freeroll, but i personally cant be bothered...took me about 10 minutes to get absolute tired head.
i also agree that PS is probably the easiest site to build a BR from scratch with the micro level games

it also should be noted for those trying to build a bankroll, the rake for these SnGs are 10% as opposed to the normal 20%...so on a dollar game its only 10 cnts instead of 20...which doesnt sound like much but rakes can kill a small BR at 20 cents a pop

cheers

re: Bankroll builder on PokerStars

never heard of these before, wish I had when I won some money on PS. I won $5 in one of those summer olympics games, but then lost it playing micro tourneys (but mainly when i lost restraint and put it all in a cash game).

Next time (if there is one, im def giving these a try)- should be easy if I can hold some restraint, and not play A-anything

Thanks for the heads up!

I primarily play on FT and wasn't aware of this. I'm inspired to win some PS freeroll cash today and fire up the money printing press.
