whats the best way to build bankroll at fulltilt

im thinking of playing 90 player or 180 player tournaments and then bigg cash games what do u guys do to build bankroll

Sounds like you already know. Play those tournaments/SNGS, make sure you play within your bankroll.

You need to (should) deposit enough for at least 40 buy-ins.

So if you play $1.10 SNGS, you should deposit ($1.10 x 40) $44.

Is there anything similar to Pokerstars's cup of poker that plays every few minutes? on Full Tilt for freeroll?
Would sure helps a bit hihi, I think Full Tilt has alot more options than Pokerstars when it comes to options when you have a bankroll, so rather try to win something from Full Tilt and have more options to win big

ik like to play the 90 seaters however the 18 to 27 mtt are the fastest way to win decent money without risking alor of time

and as for the big tournaments i like to try to keep it as low as 1-2 a day because im putting every ounce of energy i have into those tournaments so i can only play 1-2 thats why i really depend on the mtt tournaments

Tourneys with less than $5 entry fee are not worth the time if they have good structure. If you are going to play turbo tourneys - then why not play blackjack online ?

I think the easiest to build up a roll is to have rakeback and start with $40-$50 and play 1/2c cash games and go up to 2/5c when you reach $75-80 and then 5/10c when you go over $150 ..etc

im not a fan of those 90 and 180 for the simple fact that ok i have chased in them but just not enough to keep playing them, play normal sng grind it up and play the occasional mtt thats helped me out,but different for other ppl try to find the best suited way for you to earn money in poker

Fastest is a playing machine called ATM. You go there, put in your card, press some buttons, and you win every time.

I'd play 45-man sng's. 90's and 180's are good, if you want to play a long time. 45 man seems to be just enough reward for my buy in.

Personally if u are decent at heads up i would recommend the $1.10 heads up

There is no easy and safe way to make money fast. If you are a winning player and play within your bankroll, you will, eventually, increase your bankroll. If you do it properly, it tends to be relatively slow progress.

I like 9-person SNGs because 1/3 of the players are ITM, and therefore these are easier to cash in. Much easier. Once you have figured out how to play them effectively.

I also like satellite tourneys that pay out 20% or better, as, again, these are easier to cash in. The you use the T$ to play others and build up a T$ bankroll. Once you have a nice T$ bankroll, play a tourney here and there at a higher buyin than you might otherwise.

Most MTTs and large SNGs pay out for the top 10%, with a relatively small amount for a borderline cash, so unless you are fairly consistent at getting very far (and I rather doubt that many are all that consistent at making final tables where most of the money is) these are more of a long shot. Of course, if you can make a final table at a big MTT (like the Daily Dollar), it will be well worth your while. But when you balance out the number of times you have to play it to make it far (if you can) and the hours that will go into this...


Some MTTs and most public freerolls pay out far less than 10%. Some only pay out 1%. These are murder to cash in and, IMO, not an effective use of time unless you have nothing in your bankroll. Play for 7 hours to make $15. Ugh. Of course, winning one or two of these can be a confidence booster, and confidence is a good thing. Cardschat freerolls are better, both in money and in quality of play.

Cash tables, game of your choice, at the proper BRM level, are another way to increase your bankroll, assuming you don't run into a long downswing. Assuming you are a consistently good player. It's not necessarily fast, and will involve a bit of the old up and down, but can add up nicely. Safer are limit games (less variance.) More profit potential at NL and PL. PLO has the greatest variance, and is often the most profitable, if you catch a little luck to go with skill. NL and PL have greater swings -- you can easily lose a buyin in one hand. In limit games, that's really hard to do -- but it takes longer to double up, too.

If you want to make money fast and not safely, then play a larger tourney for bigger bucks and make the final table. Needless to say, that's not really a plan. It's more wishful thinking. It's only a plan if you are really really good at getting very very far in MTTs -- as in you get very deep one in four times. (Note: this would be very unusual -- the best online players are not ITM that much. That said, the best online tourney players get deep more often when they do cash.)

Or you could, if you want to play super-risky, sit down at a HU cash table with your whole bankroll and go for it. If you do that, be prepared to redeposit. A lot.

Bottom line is that there is no fast way to build a bankroll. But there are plenty of fast ways to lose one.

What's the hurry? Consider the time you put in at the micros as just part of the time necessary in the big picture.... 'it all adds up'.

I've found (for myself) the best way to make money in poker is to forget about the f'n money & instead focus on playing the best you can in each & every situtation. The money will take care of itself (as long as you're putting in the work & practising good BRM).

As far as what micro games might be more profitable to play in.... well that really depends upon what you have experience in & what you have an interest in & are willing to put in the time to work at getting better.

My opinion on the 90plyr.SNG's on Fulltilt - - they are f'n terrible period. I know of some micro players who've actually built bankrolls from them but I find the play is just soooooo f'n bad that I couldn't stand to play in them.

A profitable game in micro limits is the $5 - 27plyr. SNG's. In them you'll find a small handful of players who are quite good (& making a great profit from playing them) and some others who are real bad. The mix of the two keeps the tables from being re-donkulous (some of the time).. ie. it's not like an EP 4x rs in early levels will get 5 callers like you'll find in other games... but it is pretty bad still in early levels.

If you are good at poker, then there are many ways to build up a bankroll. The lowest stakes games are very soft at all forms of poker: from LHE, to NLHE, to SNGs, to MTTs.

I'm a LHE player and did an experiment last year to see if I could build up a roll from $5. After 2 weeks, I got bored playing so low and quit the experiment, but I was up to about $200 by then.

Also, in my experience, the 90 man SNGs are insanely soft and should yield a very high ROI. I have a very high ROI in the 180 man $4.40s on Stars (over 110% IIRC) and I believe the lowest stakes 90 man's on FTP to be softer.

Basically, the answer to your question is to play whatever game you are personally best at.

If you have full tilt points, grind points, use them to enter tournaments, and then itm or win. whatever you itm or win = your pure profit. Nothing to lose since your real-money is not at risk, real-money to gain. I'm not a good player but I am profiting no matter what thanks to full tilt points that compensates all my buy-ins.

Ima play the 90 player 24 buyin tournaments i think its the best way to gain money. Im not gna start the cash games because the tournament gameplay is best for me. Im going to play until i win a tourney then ill prolly do the cash games and start slow

Did you deposit $1000 or at least $500 so you have some what of a roll to play in $24 multi table SnGs? Well I guess it doesn't matter if you are willing to keep depositing.

Just grind it out and slowly but steadily you will build your roll. Taking chances will get you wins here and there but you have to play solid, smart poker to steadily make money. -and even then you can lose some or all of your role. There are no guarantees. You have to have full control over yourself.

I would suggest the 45 man sit n goes I find that they are just right for me at least. I don't have a hard time making the money in these and if your gonna play the micros then there are some pretty weak players. Good luck to you
