BadBeat Sponsorship site - for real or what? In this month's WPT magazine, there's a feature on a site, Badbeat.com, that offers sponsorship to players. It says you have to play on one of their affiliate sites for 2 months, and if you make a profit, you then play for a third month under the guidance of one of their resident pro poker players. If you impress sufficiently, you're offered a sponsorship deal. Has anyone been on it? Has anyone here got a sponsorship deal? I'm thinking of signing up, but I'd like some opinion first.....

I have never personally heard of this, but in my opinion if it cost no money and it is a site that you already play then why not give it a shot. Also make sure they dont ask for any personall information that could end up hurting you.

It is definitely an interesting concept, even though this sounds like a spam thread to me. Maybe not, but i'm cynical none the less. But still an interesting ideat. And, you can get them to bankroll you completely once you earn that right. Sounds like a lot of work of proving yourself to them to make the final decisions, etc. Don't think it suits me.

Sorry, as the starter of this thread it wasn't my intention to advertise or anything. As I said, I saw it in the WPT magazine (again, I'm not advertising ) and just wondered if anyone had done it already. I've spoken to a few poker playing friends, and they've all said the same thing - so long as you don't have to pay them for anything, you can't really lose (unless you lose at poker!) If I do register on it, I'll post again and let everyone know how I'm doing and what I get out of it.
