Avoid playing at Everest Poker if you plan to cash-out a large withdrawal
Hi -
I have been playing at Everest Poker recently. All went smoothly for a while. No problems with deposits or cash-outs. Then one fine day, when I had cash-outs in excess of 1000 dollars due, they asked for verification documents. Fair enough, I don't mind a company looking after security. I sent them all the required documents. (The same documents which other poker rooms like Titan poker have successfully accepted.) I always cover some bits of documents to protect my security. For example, certain middle digits of credit card, etc. At this point, things began to get troublesome with Everest. I received an email saying we have accepted all your documents but you must re-send this one with uncovered digits. I promptly did so. Then evey time I complied they kept asking more and more information. I am at the end of my wits now. They have locked my account. They owe me money. Has anyone else experienced this? What is worse in all this is the fact that Everest poker has NO PHONE support. This means you cannot talk sense to them. You just get standard emails - Please send us abc. etc. For every four emails sent, you receive one. I am so angry yet helpless at this moment. I have decided to post this so others may not experience similar trouble. In these stone ages, any decent business that runs 24 hours and offers no telephone or live chat support really should not be granted license to operate. |

I have no personal experience of Everest, but they are one of the world`s top ten online poker rooms, bigger than (for example) Ultimate or Bodog.
They can`t really be interested in robbing you of a measly $1000. It must be pocket change to a company that size. Persevere, you should get there. For future reference, it is well worth using Neteller (unless you are in a place where it is no longer allowed). If you go for the Neteller Premier account, and go through their security procedures, you will only ever have to do it once. The poker rooms will not ask you for any additional ID, because you are depositing and withdrawing through a secure system and Neteller guarantee the merchant that your identity is verified. |

Hello Migson,
Everest Poker regrets the unfortunate, but unavoidable delay you experienced while attempting to cash out. Player security at Everest Poker is of utmost importance and we take it very seriously for the benefit of all parties involved. Unfortunately, due to the increased cases of fraud originating in the UK, the documentation you provided did not meet our security standards. Furthermore, Everest strictly prohibits US players and access to our site from the USA. Since activity on your account showed evidence of possible access from the USA, your case was escalated within our security team for handling. Based on the additional information you provided and further review of your activity, we are happy to confirm that your account has been released and your transaction will be processed immediately. Everest appreciates your feedback as we always strive to improve our service and provide all players with a superior gaming experience. Sincerely, Everest CS Manager |

If you live in the UK, but spent the weekend in NY lets say. Now if you played 5 hands of poker, is that enough to have your money taken? Money that you won while playing legally in the UK? I have no idea about the OPs situation, but the fact that his "account showed evidence of possible access from the USA" seems a bit on the far end to me.

sometimes it can show you have been in two locations because of your Interent provider.
I tried to log into a site once and it wouldnt let me login when i contacted support it said i was logged in from a banned country USA lol. It turned out as I am an AOL user my ISP was routed from America somewhere. After logging out of AOL and back in I was able to login ![]() |
