Au revoir, Full Tilt After hearing all the horror stories about withdrawls, I'm going to keep a small amount on FT for CC events and the like, but I am going to discontinue any serious play and move my money to PokerStars. Why? Well, from what I have read and the instincts I have about business policies, I have a feeling tha if I ever have difficulty, PS will do what they can to make it right while, in all honesty, I don't have the same feeling about FT. I've read so many bad stories lately about how FT is not making good on withdrawls...why get frustrated by building a bankroll there and not being able to get it?

I pretty much did the same, but I hadn't been playing much at FT before the problems. Now its just a CC freeroll when I have the time. Still have my bankroll sitting there. I know they had completely stopped check withdrawals for sometime, but now the option is available again. Has anyone cashed out by check recently in the US? (I assume they use different processors all over the world) My only question is the check processor problem. All the checks that I got from PS and FT came from the same processor. Has PS just been more helpful in resolving these issues?

Ive withdrawn multiple times from ftp and a good amount last year and I had no issues. I do believe that FTP holds its player deposits separate to what its operating account so there should be no issue. The persons who experience problems with withdrawing are probably the people too paranoid to give them the required information or they have done something shady and caused the problems on themselves. The next issue that arises is pressure on the banks by government not to cash the cheques, either way not FTP's fault.

personally I never had a withdrawal problem with full tilt or pokerstars UNTIL RECENTLY. Made a withdrawal from both sites on the same day back in late November. Bottom line is it took awhile to get my money but I got everything I asked for from both sites. Best part about it was that they both compensated me for the extra time I had to wait by placing $25 to $50 in my account. Oh and BTW to the guy that said Full tilt had the problems and not Pokerstars, I had my Full tilt money a week before my Pokerstars money bryan

The problem I had with full tilt along with everyone elses problems I have heard about have resulted in full tilt depositing extra money in your account for the inconvenience of a delay and then the withdrawal being processed. They are a reputable website with whom you can trust your funds.

Nothing wrong with Full Tilt. If you read the fine print before depositing you will see there is a minimum $100 withdraw by check or e-check. Can't see the point in depositing ten bucks then wanting to take it out right away. Might as well go find a home game to play in. Could you imagine the bottleneck it would create if every joker withdrew their money every time they need a pack of smokes or something? I can see their reason for min. withdraw being $100. This way they can offer free withdraw methods for the people who really make them money.

Wrong...if you put $10 into a bank, you can take $10 out...they cant tell you you have to deposit another $90 to get $100. An ATM is a banking convenience. You can go to a bank and take out $1 if you want. |

FTP had withdrawal issues for US residents in Nov 2010. They are now cleared up. I cashed out at the end of Nov and had to wait nearly 15 days for the funds to hit my account. I cashed out again a week or so later and the funds were there in 2 days. So leave FTP if you want but if you have RB and play micro stakes or small volume you're leaving money on the table by moving to Stars.

^^^^This. I have played at Absolute, Bodog, Cake, Pokerdotcom, PS, and FT. Full Tilt is my favorite by far. Not saying the others were horrible. Bodog is full of fish and easy money, but software was laggy and I couldn't resize tables(2007). I started at PS and think it is okay. . Absolute seems okay for cash games. I tried to MT SNG's there and they would take forever to fill. FT is my full time sight now because it is the only one I can handle to stare at for 4 hours+ a day. That and with bonuses, promotions, and rakeback I can still profit playing break even poker. Customer service isn't the best as far as response time, but they get the job done. Really what I'm trying to say here is don't NOT deposit at FT because of some stuff some people post. As you can see most members have little problem with them. It may not be the site for you but very well could be.

re: Au revoir, Full Tilt poker Tilt is having payout problems at the moment- it is documented on teh big forums all over the place. That said, this is cyclical. They will get it fixed.. and in a few weeks it'll be pokerstars or bodog or UB or whoever that is having an issue. Actually, this is only affecting US players really. It's a processor issue, the kind that keeps cropping up as they find one processor and shut down (the feds do) and it takes a while to create or find a new one. No reason for hating on full tilt. They have every incentive to get people their money. It probably doesn't help everyone that is making micro-profits, but the wire transfers seem to be going through just fine- but these are prohibitively expensive if you aren't taking out --- let's say $2500+. If yo ucan't get money off, don't forget their is always the option of swapping for monies on one of the other sites yo play on and cashing it out from there (assuming you are regularly playing on site 2.. site 2 will not let you just transfer and W/D anythign substantial relative to your roll without playing that money for a while)

i have yet to make a withdraw at FTP, but i find it hard to believe that they would not honor my request. they are one of the 2 most popular poker rooms. they have commercials on cable television daily. i think there are many players making up stories about the withdraw situation.

I had a problem with FT a long time ago.. another player accused me of cheating.. Never got the whole story but bottom line is I wasn't allowed to play for almost a week while I had decent money in the bank there. Got scary, they sent me an apology email then I took it all out.

They can't help it when their US processors get shutdown or start extorting them to the point they have to dump them. Remember that US payment processors are operating 'underground' and tend to be shady businesses to begin with. Stars have had the same problems before, as have any other site hosting US players. FWIW I made a withdrawal in early December, on a Saturday, and it was in my bank on Tuesday morning. If you're unlucky enough to have your withdrawl tied up due to processor issues, it's not FT's fault, and they will make it right. They're as reputable a room as Stars, and personally I've never had an issue with their support either. They've been my primary room for almost 2 years now, and I've withdrawn thousands of $$$ without an issue. My one and only Bodog withdrawal, OTOH, was pretty bad. Took me over a month to get a Postal Money Order mailed to me.

^^^ and even more this point: whether or not FTP (or any site) charges you for your withdrawal, THEY are paying a fee for it. They don't hold your money and deliver it to you directly like a bank does, they use 3rd party poker payment processors. EFTs are not free, issuing paper checks is not free. Regardless of the amount, they pay a fee. If they let folks withdraw as little as $10, they'd likely be in the hole on the transaction. At most banks, if you use another bank's ATM, you get a charged a fee -- usually twice, by your bank and the other bank. Many banks also charge to cash a check drawn on another bank if you don't already have an account there. Point being, there are fees involved in many financial transactions. Putting minimum restrictions in place is one way that they avoid having to nickel and dime us for every withdrawal we make. Personally, I prefer that to paying extra fees.

I made a deposit to FT a few days before Christmas. It’s now been 3 weeks, the transaction still doesn’t show in my checking account ledger, though the money I withdrew from my account to put into FT is reflected shown in the “statement balance.” So it looks like the transfer is stuck in limbo. After grinding at 2NL for 2 weeks, I cleared $5 in bonus, plus the $8 profit at ring, and I withdrew entirely as I normally play at another site. So I withdrew my money from FT before the money “officially” left my checking account… I am crossing my fingers this goes through ok.

My check was in my mailbox Saturday. Took longer than normal but FTP also deposited $25 in my poker account this morning and said "Thank you for playing at FTP." I've have 100% confidence FTP is all about taking care of their clients. I'll be their customer as long as I can be.
