To anyone playing at Carbon Poker..

Did you noticed how the freerolls went from $50 to $10?? lol i noticed after i was already about halfway through a PL Holdem tourny yesterday. To make things worse, I finally start catching cards (which is rare for me at carbon, play a lot of their freerolls but always seem to bust out halfway through due to drawing dead hand after hand and being forced to try and make slop work)

After sittin on the chip lead for most of the tournament i catch a few bad beats and am left in my favorite spot (chip and a chair). I pull myself out of the gutter just in time to make the final table where people start dropping like flies. I catch three amazing hands in a row to cripple the chip leader and take 1st place...... winning a whoping $2 lol. But i dont even get a fancy ribbon or trophy next to my name now so as far as you all know, im bs-ing. O well, it was fun anyways. just gonna have to place in a few more to get into some low level tournys and fight my way to the ones that count.

are you saying that the freerolls they were playing every two hours went down to 10 dollars??? that is crazy, it was hardly worth it for the 50, that seems kinda cheap? ...peace... i dont wear panties, and have insomnia..lol

Funny enough I only noticed this yesterday and it was 3 quarters of the way through a 7 stud free-roll. After playing some real good stuff I find myself chip leader with 35 players left. I suddenly become interested in how much this could be worth to win, is it $10 or more? I check the tournament info and find that like you mentioned it was only a $10 tourney. First prize was $2! the 10th and final paying place was 50c!

This was seriously and instantly de-motivating. Suddenly I'm not even bothered about playing well anymore as it doesn't seem to matter. I lose a marginal hand for a quarter of my stack and then just start calling anything and get dumped out in 26th. Who cares.

If you're wondering how I didn't notice at registration, it is because I have my own timetable of tourneys at different sites. I had it down as a $50 and just registered sort of auto-pilot stylee.

yeah i didnt notice until about 600 ppl were left myself. kinda pathetic. i like playin on carbon, but i dont think the freerolls are worth it at all anymore... and i cant go depositing into EVERY site i play lol. we'll see...

yeah i noticed they changed it. So I play it like its a winner take all. sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't

The freerolls were the only thing I played there but as soon as I had noticed they lowered the prize I removed the software from my comp, not worth my time to play for such a small prize.

well they went back up to $50 now, but there are only 4 a day now. must be trying to save some money lol
