Any Parx players here?

I have played at the fairly new Parx poker room in Bensalem, Pa several times. It seems to me that there are a lot of pretty good players there. And some hot waitresses. Just wondering if any other CardsChat members play there and what you think about the place. I also play at Harrah's Chester in Pa.

I live just 15 minutes away from Parx (Blvd & Welsh) but only played the slots there (for free). Haven't played poker in the real casinos since Ceasars in AC in the mid 90s. And all they had was Stud. My sis & her BF go the Harrahs a lot (built up his comps in AC), but just checked out Chester recently (poker just legalzied 1/2 ytear ago). They like AC better.

I live 5 min away from you. Parx has a nice big room that runs lots of games. I know Chester can seem a little shady sometimes.

Yup, I've played there a handful of times. I like the 4/8 LO8 game. I know they usually have a 4/8 OE on the weekend but haven't gotten over yet to play in that.

The room is nice.

I'm a bit disappointed that both Parx and Chester have been slow in getting tourneys running. I think that's a combo of extra dealers and PA just getting ramped up though.

My fear is that since Parx is alot like Borgata that when their tourney schedule comes out it will be similar and that the cheapest weekly tourney might be $100+$20. But we'll see.

Chester has the WSOPC coming at the end of March, so that might be good.

I play in the 1-2 nl games at both places. I believe for every hour you play at chester you win an chance for a free entry in the main event of the circuit.

How does the 4/8 play? What is the waiting list like on a Saturday?

4/8 is the lowest Limit spread for any type of Limit game. You will not find 2/4 LHE or 2/4 LO8 at Parx.

I haven't been over on a Saturday yet, but since they expanded the room to 45 tables, the waiting lists aren't bad at all. Usually there is open seating for LO8. The longest I've ever seen is 3 on the list.

Hello everyone!
I have played at the Parx casino poker room many times. I am from Plymouth Meeting, but currently live in Ocean City NJ...15 minutes from ac lol. I like playing the $1.00/$2.00 no limit hold'em at Parx. I was there in the morning and isn't that crowded until lunch time arrives. I like that there's a lot of room and lot of tables. Their chips are a little wierd though, different than ac's chips.
I heard about Sugar House, but haven't been there yet. Where is it at, Passyunk ave? There going to or maybe already started, to transform the Valley Forge Convention Center into a casino hotel. That will be big because of the hotel part.

I haven't played at any of the new Pa poker rooms yet. I can't seem to drag myself away from this laptop. I am just soooo used to playing naked, I don't think I could handle...T*I.#L.t=i.nG....while I was fully clothed. I live in Collingswood NJ and usually play at the Taj when I do play live. I like their $75 midnite tourneys. Next time I decide to play live, I think I'll come over the bridge, maybe I'll see you guys there.
You know what would be a good idea? If CardsChat had a patch or a pin or something so we could recognize one another. What do you think?
