Any good sites

Hi all,
What poker sites would anyone recommend for a U.K. player that has a decent software client and easy deposit and withdrawal methods?
I don't like ipoker or pokerstars software.
Are there any that come close to fulltilt software?

If you don´t like PokerStars (the best), then you have to play for instance Party, Ongame, Everest, Bodog, and i agree with you, iPoker is also not my favourite software.

think pokerstars and full tilt is the absolute best software. dont think other coming close to full tilt tho.

was to slow posting party poker and ongame was also what i would say i remember playing on everest didnt like that software but maybe it got better i dont know
actually i also disliked the Ipoker software but after playing there for a while i started like it more. but its still a preference of course

When I first started playing PS I didn't like it at all. Give it a month or 2 and you'll come round. Best site by far imo, although some of the others mentioned are a helluva lot softer..

I'm already playing on carbon and blackchip where between them I now have just over $200 from freerolls/micro etc.
I asked them (carbon) about their deposit/withdrawal methods and they said withdrawals take 7 to 10 days to reach your bank account.( a bit long)
I don't like all the verifying/uploading docs ect. but I suppose I'll have to.
When I played on ipoker a withdrawal usually took 3/4 days.
I presume blackchip would have the same deposit/withdrawal methods as carbon?

Party Poker! they gave me aa 5$ free chip for being absent there for such a long time, and I have been running it up in the micros there, pretty soft games and fun software!

Long ago, I changed all my sites to look the same or as close as possible to looking the same. .

Dark backgrounds, nothing flashy. Once I did this, I sometimes found myself wondering where I was playing.

Change the table theme, it might help.

I already do that m8, but thanks.
With new sites, I always change to
4 colour deck, black background and greenish table.

Btw, I did a post a while back about 4 color deck, just curious again,
is anyone still using a 2 color deck ?
Do they use a 4 color deck in casino's?

Does anyone know what the deposit/withdrawal is like on Party?

I'm going to make a min deposit on pokerstars ($10),
purely for 'donking micro's, get used to the software, and see how easy it is to withdraw.
I've now 'officially' given up on fultilt coming back,
RIP.

Just out of curiosity,
I have just over $200 on two merge sites ($144-carbon, $59- blackchip).
I haven't deposited on either.
Are there any possible ways of getting this money to pokerstars if I continue playing there,
(i.e. player transfer, chip dumping etc. or is this not allowed?).
Without going through the rigmarole of depositing and withdrawing on carbon and blackchip.

Or should i just 'take shots' with it?

Merge verification is a pain in the ass but you'll have to do it if you want to get your $ onto PS. I still haven't verified my account on Carbon and I have a decent amount on there but don't play there much.

Shot taking doesn't end well from my experience. I've done it with a $200 br on Titan and busted it. Didn't really care but it's a bit of a waste really. Even if you get lucky taking shots you'll have to verify your account to get your $ anyway.

tcummo im gna recommend u the best site for UK players infact my fav. site ever as of today PKR its simply brilliant the graphics and the tourneys r excellent infact it so good u wont wana play newhere else after this they did an upgrade yesterday nwo u can buy a drink for ur avatar while sitting on the tables for poker points or use it to buy things to customise ur avatar or enter tourneys see u on the tables! mine id=punter4444

I tried PKR a long time ago, it was horrible then but,
I'll certainly have another look.
What are deposits and withdrawals like?
I want to deposit with a visa debit card and withdraw to the same card without all the crap of verifying, uploading, what is your dogs name? etc.

Work at the Pokerstars site. It is way ahead of anything else out there not just in terms of software but also in terms of all the back up stuff, depositing, withdrawing etc. Stay away from iPoker. That is the one site that I just cannot do anything on. PKR is okay but it does use up a whole load of memory and in my experience it slows everything down unless your PC is top notch. They do have a Lite version.

Hi all! I agree with you regarding FTP software - it was really great to play there and we all hope it will be revived before this Christmas.

I've also looked for the good client and all I could find were: Lockpoker and Bodog.
These two rooms have their own style so it is more or less pleasant to play there. Try them.
