| another online joke I have again found that people online in general do not care about there money or how badly they play.I was sitting at a $2-$4 nolimit game on Ultimatebet last night,i had worked my $200 buyin up to $436 after about an hr or so.There are 8 others at the table, ranging from $1200-$190,I am on the button with pp10s.1st to act raises to $10 guy 2 seats away with $650 calls I call both blinds fold.Flop comes 8d 10d 2c , guy first 2 act bets out for $30 next guy raises to $60 I reraise to $120,the $30 bettor folds and the $60 bettor calls. We are now heads up,the turn is the 4c the guy goes allin.......now with those cards on the board i have the best hand so with no hesitation I call. They show our cards the guy has Ac 9c and i have my set.River is the Ad,I win a $900+ pot.My question is why would this guy raise on the flop with nothing, then go allin on the turn with a draw?Dont get me wrong im glad I won but I just dont understand his play?????? |

| He might think you were tight. I have to believe that some people generally think a reriase means you're full of crap. Especially if they're beginners, He was calling just to push all-in no matter what the turn was, just to put pressure on you and hopefully you can't and won't call, plus when the club hit, he probably thinks his draw or an A probably will hit the river. Everything combined, he thinks he will win the hand. You don't have to be a good player to be in Any limit, you just have to have money. Last edited by wsorbust : 26th January 2008 at 8:34 PM. |

The all in could only have been a semi - bluff to try and get you off the hand, gambling that you only had a pair and their flush draw / Ace hit if you did call. You will see a lot of this especially from the people that think they can bully the table with big bets. Your play was spot on and he made the mistake...and thats what we want. We make money when other people make mistakes. These type of players can be dangerous however as it is very difficult to put them on a hand. |

| re: another online joke poker I'm not a pro by any means. I had to read the post a couple of times to make sure I understood what was on the table. I'm all for bluffing, but that just sounded stupid. You know he didn't have the flush, maybe he didn't know. lol Congrats on the $$. |
