ACED Poker Room

Hi all,

Just opened a new thread to see everybodys thoughts on the new ACED poker room which is on the Merge Gaming Network (Carbon Poker etc).

I think this new poker room looks pretty decent, I have had a look online and many players say that it looks like the best run poker room they have seen in a while.

I think this poker room looks really good to, they have $10,000 Freerolls, 200% Deposit Bonus up to $1000, a VIP program which looks pretty easy to achieve.

It has a lot going for it IMO, however, a few players on CardsChat are warning me off this poker room as it is a NEW member of Merge... Just want to know players' thoughts of it.

Thanks

(Look to red) This is what makes me worry a little.
I mean, offering such a large deposit bonus for a new site who has yet to establish a customer base(which, without a doubt, the bonus will do) seems a little fishy to me.
I wouldn't doubt if this site disappears with-in the next 12 months(after it has raked in enough cash to make it profitable for them to just up and leave), but that is just my opinion.

The T&C's on this Initial Deposit Bonus are:

$1.00 of bonus is earned for every 300 comp points
Bonus is released in $50 increments (for every 15,000 comp points)

This is harder to achieve than Carbon Pokers initial bonus which is:

$1.00 of bonus is earned for every 250 comp points
Bonus is released in $10 increments (for every 2,500 comp points)

Does this alter the opinion?

Thanks

re: ACED Poker Room

ACED is also regulated by the Kahnawake gaming commision, for which Aced will have to ensure that they adhere to the following:

Quoted from the Kahnawake gaming Comission website:

The Regulations are designed to ensure that all interactive gaming and gaming related activities conducted within or from the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawake satisfies three basic principles:
  1. That only suitable persons and entities are permitted to operate within Kahnawake;
  2. That the games offered are fair to the player; and
  3. That winners are paid.
This to me looks as if ACED is trustworthy. Any thoughts?

I know one of the higher ups at Aced, close friend of mine, and he has a great track record - really knows his stuff. I can assure you this will be a solid poker site and it takes US players as it's on the Merge network too.

Thats great, I think I will play at aced poker for 2009, as a few people say that it is definately going to be a solid poker room, and now you have just confirmed that.... plus the deposit bonus is the best there is on the merge network at present, and I think (correct me if Im wrong) its the only merge gaming room that actually offers a VIP program....

By the way, the only thing I think defo needs improving at first glance is the main website needs to more informational, as promos etc are described very briefly.

Thanks again for your input

re: ACED Poker Room

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to step in and introduce myself. My name is Brandon and I am the Poker Room Manager for Aced.com.

Really appreciate the kind words James, we are working hard to provide players what they need.

In regards to the deposit bonus, when ChanPoker.com was closed, all players were moved over to Aced.com, so our player base is already there. I can assure you it is safe to play at Aced.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to pm or email me.

Btw, thanks Nick for the kind words.

Thanks,
Brandon

ACED.COM REVIEW

Here's my take. I've played on FT, Stars, Doylesroom/Microgaming, Ultimatebet, Absolute, CLUBWPT, Bugsysclub.com, Pokerworld, Pokertime, PokerHost, BoDog, Sportsbook.com, Players Only, NLOP, BOS back in the day, and probably 10 or more that I've forgot to mention.

Bottom line is this, the only site I play on now is Aced.com and here is why.

Personally, I don't care for sites without live help, be it a phone or instant chat, I want someone live, Tilt and Stars do not offer that, as well they are too big now, I prefer a site that is an up and comer and one that is small to medium size. By the looks of Aced.com and the network it's just about what I want in a poker room.

I've made 2 small deposits, the play is solid, there are things I would change that are probably more network decision based then individual site/skin based.

#1 I would like to see micro heads up sit and go's. $1 or $2 buy in's currently the least expensive is $5.50

#2 I would like to see an option to change the felt color on the table. you can change cards, icons, etc but not felt

#3 A buddy list would be helpful

With that being said, they offer one helluva Bad Beat Jackpot, and I do enjoy the software. ) My Personal favorite was the old Tribeca Network that Doyles Room and BOS, and Victor Chandler use to be on, that playtech purchased and destroyed....LOVED THAT SOFTWARE)

With it being gone, I really don't mind the software of Aced.com

Great Banking options, actually one of the few sites I can use my Debit Card on. No more prepaid fee cards or expensive Western Unions.

I used the customer service instant chat twice, and both times it was fast, the operator was helpful and friendly.

Overall I would give this site a solid 8/10, incorperate the above requests to better the site, and perhaps a few more sat tournaments in the $1-$10 range and I think we are looking at a 9/10 and a serious competitor to the big boys.
