Absolute Poker (Problems)

I did my first depost to Absolute Poker about 5 months ago, I deposited 200 and turned that into a little over 9500 by mostly playing SNG'S and MTT'S will that is actually besides the point, about 4 weeks ago I requested a withdrawal of all my funds as I was planning to switch back to pokerstars,(the tourneys at Absolute Poker are quite pathetic as you all know. Well I still havn't received my money and I have contacted Absolute Poker on 4 different occasions and have not heard from them once. I am started to get very concerned, do any of you have any suggestions.

How did you request your money from them? And how did you deposit? I haven't had a problem from them. I do know their support is a little slow. Did you try calling them?

I deposited via western union. I requested via the normal route of cashing out via the casher system built into the software. I have no access to my money and I got an email saying that they will process within 7 business days. I have tried calling and everytime I do I get put on hold for anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour, then I lose the connection.

They will most likely be sending you your money by check. It does take time. Sites like these do not make it part of their business to keep your money. If they did this to those who won at their sites they wouldn't be in busines for long.

I am now not able to log-on, I have not been able to log-in to Absolute Poker for about 2 hours. I went ahead and emailed support, though I don't expect to hear back from them, I am really starting to freak out.

Still can't login and have not heard back from support. Does anyone please have any suggestion or can offer some advice. I have never had problems getting my money out of a poker account before.

Finally able to login, still have not heard from support. These people are pissing me the hell off.

The shithole known as absolute poker emailed today asking me to prove that I am who I say I am.

i used to have to send a screened copy of my id to casino sites where i played BJ all the time, plus poker sites. im sure i sent it to at least 10 diff places in the last year. however i remember a time in my life i was homeless and had no id, so i can understand the problem some people would have sending one.

If you read the terms of the site it does say that they do ask for id. most sites do that when you take out a large amount. They want to make sure you didn't play on your Mom's account. It's a good thing that they do this. What would you say if someone got into your account and tried to take the money out and it wasn't you? I think you would be just as pissed that they didn't ask for id. It's a minor blip. Send them the id and they send you your check.

Absolute Poker was the 2nd site that I ever played poker at, and I'm still a regular player there now, as well. I've never had any issues with their customer service, and their request for you to show ID and to prove that you are who you say you are is not unreasonable.

Realize that Absolute Poker is doing what they're doing to protect YOU - if you can't understand this simple concept, then you should probably stay away from internet gaming sites.

I had already send them this information, I did this when I requested this cash out. I have sent them a copy of my drivers license and social security number. They have also requested this information when I have cashed out in the past. They send me an email asking me to prove that I am who I say I am.

Enough with the insults and name calling. You're both entitled to your opinions and can rant and complain all you like, but do it without the name calling.

Sorry Jack, but between the monster headache I am getting from Absolute Poker and people like BKrywko1 I have kind of gotten to the point where I am snapping and being a prick. I am ussually more civil, but my fed up meter is through the roof. Again my appologies.

Either email them back and say you've already sent it, or (probably save you time in the long run), just send it again. They're trying to make it as awkward as possible for you to get your money, but if it's 9K, just put a few hours aside to get everything together and send it through to them.

I have already done this. My gripe was I send all of this in twice now. I am going to probably going to have to to a courthouse and have a judge identify me as me and vouch for my existence.

If you've send the info above and have told them a couple times already, are they still asking for even more proof than a DL an SSN? Have you been able to clarify exactly what it is they want for proof or are they denying that they received anything recently from you?

They havn't said, they just keep asking for proof that I am the one playing on my account. Who else would it be, they have my ip address, a copy of my DL and a copy of my recent electric bill showing my address. I really can't figure out what the heck they want from me.

I doubt it. Don't take this wrong, as I don't know what you specifically said to them in previous e-mails, but if some of your frustration/venting posts here are any indication of your e-mails to them, then that could be part of the issue. If that is the case, then try something along these lines:

Hello. My screen name at Absolute is xxxx.

I have been trying to withdraw $xxxx from my account and have been trying to meet your requests for proof of identity. On previous occasions I have supplied you with both a copy of my driver's license, mysocial security number, as well as a copy of a recent utility bill showing my address (which matches my Absolute Poker account information). Unfortunately it appears that you are still not satisfied with my proof and have not authorized this withdrawl. I am at a loss and need your assistance to resolve this. If you would kindly tell me what exactly what needs to be done to provide sufficient proof of my identity, I will take care of it immediately. In the interim, attached below is the proof that I have previously provided.

Even if you think you were polite enough before, try it anyway. Often times dealing with support on a matter like this is as simple as keeping the tone low and telling them that you need their help to meet their request. Many times this approach works wonders...though no guarantees.

I was very polite to Absolute Poker, please understand, I don't normally snap at people or lose my cool and I admit I had no right to do that here. I have never had trouble taking money out of a site before, this is my first time withdrawing from Absolute Poker and this has been over a month of fighting with them regarding this withdrawl. I have spent most of my time playing on pokerstars and paradise in the past and never once had problems. I came on this site asking for advise and so far you are the only one to actually take the time to provide positive feedback and I greatly appreciate it. Which explains why you are a moderator. I do love the format of the template email you sent it is very professionally geared and I will happily try utilizing it as well as attaching all previous emails that I had sent them. Actually no, I was referring to the first time I send in my request. I have never cashed out of Absolute Poker before. I started with a 200 deposit and have just been working on building up my bankroll there. I finally got tired of the tiny $ tournaments & SNG's (Plus I needed the money for personal reasons) No I have never had a problem with pokerstars or paradise. Back when I first started playing online I was on Party and just kept losing my roll lol So no cashouts there.

I wasn't referring to you, just a few others who comments who came across as rude and one who started cussing me out and a few PM'S about how great Absolute Poker was and that I was some rookie who didn't know my arse from a hole in the ground.

I have exactly the same problem, deposited 50$ turned it to 820$ cashed out 500 and now i cant logg in

same problem here...still don't know what to do.

Don't expect to get any help from anyone in these forums. Most of them will not tolerate hearing that these companies are crooked and can't be trusted. I never got my money, and am no longer playing online.

There is no legal recourse against these companies should you be cheated and that is exactly what these companies do, no matter what else you may hear from the shills on this site.

One of my favorite arguments involving online gambling is that these companies are making so much money, why would they jeopardize that by cheating you out of your few hundred dollars.

A) Because they have stupid brainwashed punks like you defending everything they do, and they are greedy ****s who make all of their money by fueling an addiction that should be made illegal. The only difference between poker and crack, is that people on poker don't normally kill their neighbors. Even though 15000 people kill themselves each year due to gambling related problems.

Thus endeth my rant. Stop wasting your lives playing poker and go find something useful to do.

Never have I heard of ANY poker site asking for a ssn, and I have made withdrawals from many. Log into your account, cancel the transaction and p2p it to someone you trust to take it off for you and transfer it back on PS, I've done this many times for US players who cannot get their funds off a site.

I emailed them and they said they were just checking my moneybookers and neteller account, and that they would get back as soon as possible, but if i really cant cash my money out the site is a complete ripp of, i plaid 4 days in a row to turn 50$ to 820$ and it isnt often i make a lot of money like that so it would really sicken me if i cudnt get it back and i would probably give up hope on online poker to

When someone new pops in and half their posts are in one complaint thread, it makes me suspicious.

Lots of noobs start up "such-and-such a site is bad" threads. Almost makes me think they work for other sites. But we hardly ever hear cash out complaints from people who've been here awhile (well, except for the eChecks thing on Stars).

u have no idea how **** it feels when u cannot log in while theres 900$ of urs in that account, maybe its not much for you but it is for me and thats what mathers if u can only call people who have problems with a poker site noobs and think they work for other poker sites ur very narrow minded and shud seriously consider sum profesional help now feel free to bann me to, u look a lot like the dictators of the previous sovjet union.
