Absolute Poker

Has anybody played extensively at Absolute poker? I have writen earlier about a mean losing streak I had there. Well I talked myself into giving them another try, actually it was probably my ego . Very first hand after making another deposit bad beat!!!, had J,9 other guy had J,10 I get beat Jacks over 10's full when I had Jacks over 9's full. I am really curious if anyone has actually withdrawn money from them. I can live with losing streaks part of the game. They gave me their free 10 built that upto over 30 and haven't won a dime since! and made 2 deposits! If its just me I would like to know that, just as much as I would like to know if they are legit. Thanks

I haven't played there xdman, but I haven't heard that they aren't legit. I'll post and let you know if I hear anything.

Sounds to me like they are some how creating action flops to increase their rake...jus a theroy...

yeah something isn't right. I am not one to complain but the circumstances just seem very strange to me. Do well with a freebe then go on a losing the likes you have never experienced.
Interesting fact Absolute is licesned by the Haldimand Mohocks and Allies Gaming Commission, where as every other poker site is licensed by the Kahnawake gaming commison. So there IS a difference between them and everybody else. Anyway I will let it go and just cut my loses and never play there again.

at the end of the day the sheer amount of hands that are played on these sites, every kind of thing that could happen does happen

none of the sites are fixed else if they were no one would play on them, cause there are hundreds of others to choose from

Could easily be called venting. Lost before just not like this ya know? I can not remember a time I really felt like something wasn't right about a site. I'm a card player I understand what can and does happen. Very well could be that I had a legitimate bad run just doesn't feel that way to me. Every time I pull up my hand history out of 1000 hands I only find 2 I would have differently 2!!!!! 5 emails worth....That is incredible to me anyway I understand what you are saying grumble, and I respect it. I generally subscribe to the theory that the shear number of hands you play online is what explains most peoples gripes. I am just having a hard time convincing myself what happened at absolute was legit.

i play regularly at absolute my best is 29th place, it is hard to place top 9 unless you get the cards

J9 getting beat by J10 is not a bad beat. He had you beat and thats what you get for playing J 9!!

I have never played at absolut but a few of my friends do and they really like it, I think i might try it out today.

I play there all the time, in fact it is my second best site for making money. I know it's not supposed to be this way, but I have 3 definite favorite seats and I never sit anywhere else on that site.

Thank you for you nice comments you must be a renowned poker genius. I will never again play j,9 when I am in the BB and no one raises. I will always fold when I get to see a flop for free.

I play on PokerStars all the time and I hear people saying screw PokerStars, only on PokerStars, well my theory is that it is not PokerStars or any other site, because, I have taken beats just as bad on real tables at casinos, and I have never seen anything that would make me think other wise, plus even if you have never played on a real table watch some of the tourneys on tv, you'll see those big guys taking some pretty big beats too, thats just my op though.

whoever said they withdrew at absolute, what is min to withdrawl/?

Did someone mention earlier that Absolute Poker gives you 10 free dollars??? So it's kinda like Royal Vegas then, they give you $10 but of course I just have some of the worst beats ever on that site, runner runner crazy

In general I get bad beats way more online. Maybe number of hands, maybe more people in after the flop(aka call stations). hit straights and flushes. Maybe all online sites make more competive hands to eliminate people in tourneys quicker, rake more $$$ on table play. Just play tight and realize this possibility exists. Also folding is one option before even the flop comes down. If you have j 9 os, I wouldn't even think about playing preflop. The chances to get beat are to large. Be patient, play tight, don't get frustrated at BB. Get mad at playing weak hands and losing, J 9 os. I placed 2nd in a tourney at Absolute. No problem paying me. Try PokerChamps though not as many BB!
