| 888 poker game selection... No 6-max 2nl / 2plo tables? So I've got some cash on 888 poker from a freeroll I'd like to cash out and I have not yet met the play limit (I apparently need to wager $138 more before I can cash out... BTW, do all poker sites have this sort of minimum wager before cashout policy?). My roll is only $80 and I like to practice sound BRM whenever possible. Unfortunately, the only 2nl and 2plo games they offer are all 9-seated... and I MUCH prefer 6-max games. Does anyone know if 888 poker ever offers 2nl/2plo 6-max games? Any suggestions on how to clear the minimum withdrawal in a quick/efficient manner while still respecting some modicum of BRM? |

| I have no clue about PLO micro tables but do know that the 2nl(he) tables are about the softest & craziest you'll find anywhere! I also took down a freeroll cash on there & have used the site for 'fun' playing micros. I posted some of my results in a 2nl thread here on CC & have some saying what I was achieving was highly unlikely/doubtful (like I'm lying about it?.. why am I gonna lie about results playing 2nl.. I mean if that were the case I'm pretty sure I wouldn't mention that I'm even playing 2nl (I have an only poker bankroll over $5g's). Anyways, I'm not a cash game player & have run at probably around 50bb/100 on the 2nl tables (ie if I play a session & only have a winrate of 20-30bb/100 it feels like a losing session.. although I have had a few losing sessions.. maybe 3 or 4 tops). The tables on that site are just INSANE!!! It's not uncommon to get on tables with total maniacs & not unheard of to find a few tables like this (ie. today I was on a couple of tables where there'd be a player who'd call anything.. any shove preflop with atc's.. I shoved 100bb's into him with QQ.. he called with Q4o.. short while later I openshoved 250bb's with AA & was looked up by Q6s (& yes, both times my hands held up,lol). It's not always that crazy but often it is. On the flip side ~1/2 the players on the tables are loose passive calling stations, who'll call 3streets with MidPr weak kicker, etc. It is just way way different than micros on Fulltilt. Another thing I've noticed about 888Poker, the pts. system REALLY SUCKS! It takes forever to clear 1pt. lol. (I forget offhand how many pts. I'd get for 1hr. of play 10-tabling but it was really insignificant... I had it all calculated out at one point (over a mnth ago now) but not concerned about it these days & just hit the site up to mess around a bit (had thoughts one week of setting up a challenge for myself, to actually spend 1wk. grinding 2nl tables on there to see just how much I could actually win by 'only' playing 2nl & was gonna make an estimate of min. $500 (but thinking it could be more)). 'But' I got bored of playing it, lol. (although just talking about it.. is gonna get me to go play for a bit right now, lol). I've actually saved a bunch of screenshots from some of the crazier pots I've won on there (yesterday I won a 400bb pot, getting it allin on the flop after flopping the nut straight, only 100bb's deep but managing to get 3others to stack off with inferior sheeeite). I'm actually considering playing more of the MTTs on that site as they have decent structure for the size of buyins (ie. $20buyins, 3,000chips, 15min. blinds) and there are ALOT of fish in the tournaments too. Not sure if any of this info. has helped you at all Mr.Monkey.... basically just sayin' > the nlhe micro cash tables are extremely soft & that you should give them a shot. (the 'web' cam 10nl tables are uber-soft too... it seems to attract the fish in a big way, kinda funny playin' on them too but you can only single table the webcam tables (or at least you used to be able to only single table them when they first came out.... I don't know about now). |

| What exactly do they mean by 'needing to wager $135'? Do you have to play a total of pts. that would relate to $135 of buyins? How many 'pts' does this relate to? One last thing -> you can do transfers on that site. Maybe you can find someone somewhere who'll transfer with ya? (although I haven't been so lucky so far.... just been giving it away for free so far,... in 'transfers'.. not on the tables, lol). Personally I think it's an ideal site for someone just getting started out. It is very easy to be a winning player on there & for micro tournament players they have tournaments running regularly and are setup/geared towards the low buyin player with most of their tourneys being <$25, with the $10 & $20 mtts having good structure & fields of around 200-500entrants. |

I've thought about doing a transfer, Makwa who I played with in the freeroll last week who I would trust without question. since you've described the tables as so extremely loose, I think I will just try to play through the "$138 wagered" though as I don't really need the funds immediately. BTW, I think the "$138 wagered" figure means I need to have bet $138 before I can cash out? I guess it's probably easier for players to calculate how much they are betting as opposed to figuring out how much rake/MGR they are generating for the site. |
